Sam Hyde

I never really looked into it, but did Idubbbz meet his GF before he got internet famous? Cause that's like the only reason why I can think of why he'd still be with her besides the Hollywood affect like you said. Like, Ian used to make fun of people like his GF but ig time just changes people.
I mean Hollywood changes because you go from making fun of insane people to having to befriend these midwits if you want to keep your YouTube channel/job In media.

He was already big when he met Anisa. She was a small-time streamer who'd broken up with another streamer before getting with him. There's speculation she was fucking around with Ian when she was with this other guy though. This was circa 2016-2017 I think
Ah thanks for clearing that up, I hope that's the case cause it'd be funny af

I think Ian made a mistake in picking someone anywhere near his level to go after. Ian's non-collaborative interactions with other content creators have been limited to either one-sided videos, like content cop where he doesn't even have the person on to defend themselves or anything that involves confrontation; or he's done shit like show up to Tana Mongeau's event which was low-hanging fruit in every aspect of that scenario. I'm not idolizing Sam by saying that, I'm sure if Ian had a one on one with Keemstar it would've gone similarly in terms of Ian not being able to come out of it looking the way he wanted. He's socially awkward so this kind of prolonged interaction that he didn't have control over ended up being his comedic kryptonite.
Absolutely, that's exactly why the two other little documentaries he's done have been with relative unknowns, guys like that fattyairsoft dude (who's about as dumb and redneck as you can get) or Daxflame (who's about as reserved and autistic as you can get). In terms of fame, confidence, and wit, nobody's he's interacted with could really challenge him.
Hyde's well within the same punching weight though, which is an appropriate figure of speech because in the documentary Sam says this began around when Ian started up his stupid "I'm looking for someone to box!" phase, which only further suggests he was at a point where he was looking to prove he was way tougher than he was, and makes Sam's reasons for fucking with him all the more understandable.

Also, maybe I'm giving Sam too much credit, but the fact he made his pretend girlfriend some nutty overly tattooed bitch with a screwed up haircut makes me wonder if he was taking a shot at Ian's gf. Going by the Anisa thread (which is where most Idubbbz info goes) she didn't actually shave her head until early july, but maybe that's just the natural course of all insane women.

What the fuck?

SH: YO WE DID ALL THIS CRAZY STUFF AND MAAN WE TROLLED HIM SOO HARD!🤣🤣🤣 WE'RE JUST SO FUNNY AND CREATIVE!
Ian: "Can you guys stop pretending for like a minute I want to actually talk with you."
SH: "BRO I AM BEING LEGIT HOMIE I AM NO FORREAL!🤪🤪"

This shit was cringe. Ian set out to see what this dude was up to day to day, and the answer was Not Alot. The reason Ian didn't release the footage was probably because no context he could've added would've saved the documentary from these guys just being not funny. It's like SH thinks he's Eric Andre, but he's not even Carlos Mencia. At least Carlos Mencia is KINDA funny and successful.

This is a really dumb misread of what this was all about. Just going by the facts of what was presented, Ian either was 1) still a bit salty about the copyright strike or 2) attempting some kind of gotcha about Sam/his audience being far right Nazis or whatever. Which is fairly hypocritical coming from the nigger faggot guy. As far as what Sam was doing in return I'm not sure why Ian or anyone else would've expected this to go down differently, Sam's schtick is being a troll. Whether anyone finds that funny or not is another story but was Ian either hoping or expecting Sam to sit down and be something else? Why was he interested in interviewing him in the first place then?

Could be. Then again I think the crackhead girlfriend bit is something that MDE uses in their comedy fairly often. I haven't seen all of their shit, especially paywalled, but in my frame of reference there's the you whipped my wife bit that is pretty much about Sam having a methhead girlfriend that his brother doesn't like. I always guessed that was somewhat tongue in cheek since Sam does apparently get with trashy women often.

What the fuck?

I'm at the part with the interview and iDubbbz comes off like a complete cunt.

Sam Hyde says "Are you punking me?"

iDubbbz says "Yeah, I'm gonna make you look like a real asshole."

I can't quite tell if iDubbbz is being serious or not but he comes off like he is genuinely doing a "I have you now!" villain speech.

Regardless, iDubbbz makes me cringe so hard my skeleton is trying to break free from my flesh & run out the door.

Didn't even know she had a thread, this gonna be good shit

Yeah, that felt weirdly serious. Extremely autistic, either way.

Y'all really liked this video huh?

Carlos Mencia is not funny
I know, and Sam Hyde is even less so.

Another thing I've noticed in this interview is that Sam Hyde comes off as quite sharp, he instantly picked up on it when iDubbbz tried to get him to answer a generic question to prep him for personal questions, and Sam told him to just skip to the real questions. He also seemed to have been aware that this entire documentary was a setup & sabotaged it from the start by making it a mockumentary. Seeing Sam totally elude iDubbbz in this mind game shit he setup is fascinating and the most interesting thing I've seen all week.

I was thinking the same, but there is an interaction that got me thinking that Ian got wise really quick at that jab.
At 13:40, Ian was talking with the crackhead and she says somethine about "We look alike tho. Kinda weird."
Ian then looks straight at Sam and he says, "Ok, I think I get what you are saying"
Then Sam looks flustered and says "No comment."

Anyways, kudos for the girl. She was spot on.

I don't know why I feel the need to share this but fuck it I want to.

I actually knew Idubbbz before he was "known". I found him on Overgrowth's "super secret preorder forum" in ~2012. He probably had less than 30k subs. He played cool overgrowth mods and levels. I watched him every morning while eating breakfast before going to school. He was so different back then. He was a much simpler person, seemed very kind-hearted too. Was not at all political, of course, he was mainly interested in indie games and game development. Never in my wildest dreams could I ever imagine him getting popular like that and ending up meeting fucking Sam Hyde over a grudge about Sam telling him to squat two plates to remove a copyright strike 7 years ago.

He became such a faggot.

Sad.
