So throughout the winter how have the alpacas been faring? A lot of people were estimating die-offs due to shaving their coat at the wrong time and the malnourished bodies but it doesn’t seem like any of that’s transpired yet.

He's using an immersion blender to make mashed potatoes.I present to you: On this episode of CHOPPED.... I have no idea what penny is doing to those potatoes with that tiny mixer.
That we know of; it's not like they're tweeting about dead or dying alpacas, with tales of woe & want attached.A lot of people were estimating die-offs due to shaving their coat at the wrong time and the malnourished bodies but it doesn’t seem like any of that’s transpired yet.
From the post every troon was like "no go here wtf are you talking about" lol.Penny you lying Boomer, get one of your dogs to Google it for you. I'm not posting the link because I don't believe in free labor.
It might cost money though, so there's his real problem. He's just gonna lie and grift instead.
So they just got a wad of cash...
...and they handed it off to someone...
...and now they need Narcan.
Anyone else connecting these dots?
I did some rough estimates once, and figured they spent a little over $2000 a month on feed.I think that thread alluded to it - they’re probably having to buy some kind of ready made winter feed now as well as fodder. Both are expensive, and as you say they’re too retarded to construct proper feeders and are just chucking bales at the animals and letting them get on with it so the wastage is high.
Basically you want a mixture of lower cost raw materials that you can buy in bulk and mix as needed. Cereals, fibre, nutrition additives, what have you. And pellets seem to be the recommended format for feeding alpaca.
Yes, mixing by hand and using one of these small machines is going to be very time consuming to DIY the food. But field troon labor is free and you gotta keep those degenerate fucks busy doing something.
So the plan is solid but I’d be more worried about the longevity of the operation. An $800 machine doesn’t sound like it’ll be very robust. If it’s thrashing away for several hours a day, plus the wear and tear on the generator, they’ll be broken down and grifting for a replacement before the end of the quarter imo.
Interesting insight into the finances though. If this *saves* them $1000/mo, what are they actually spending on paca food right now? 2k or more? No wonder they’re desperate.
When did you post this number?I did some rough estimates once, and figured they spent a little over $2000 a month on feed.
When did you post this number?
Because they've greatly increased in the number of sheep in 2021 and they now have over 200 Alpaca. Also they have ducks and chickens to feed. (Chickens can eat some table scraps safely and ducks cant...)
I also see them lacking literally the easiest thing to feed birds in which is basically a giant round tub on the ground. Also would be nice if the ducks had water even in a premade pond liner but thats very optimistic of me.
I ran the numbers back in the summer. I set the herd at 150 since I prefer to be under rather than over when making an estimate, and I only did the math for the Alpaca feed, no idea what all the other miscellaneous animals are running themSo all this talk of money got me to do some math on how much their feed ration probably costs. I'm putting the grazing value at zero, at we've all seen pictures of the land. I'm doing the math assuming they have a recommended ration, which is probably fair considering the alpacas don't seem to be starving, though it's hard to tell if they are feeding an appropriate amount of premix. Also, I am putting the herd size at 150 since we haven't had a headcount recently.
So to start is the premix. Premix is a supplement you purchase and add to your hay, it contains all the little things, basically a multivitamin you mix in. I'm using Alpaca~Llama Maintenance Pellet from this retailer www.alpacasrus.com/feed as that is what is stocked at their local veterinary clinic. The price listed is 20.00$/50lb, and an alpaca is expected to eat ~0.5 pounds a day. Some basic math, 150 x .5 x 365 = 27375 pounds used in a year. It is 40 cents a pound so that is 10,950$ dollars of premix a year
Next is the hay, the main bulk of alpaca diet. In a ration this provides energy as the alpaca digests it using it's three stomachs. Alpaca eat 3 pounds a day, and one ton of alfalfa silage is 200$. I got that price from this listing allhay.com/states/colorado/ 3 x 150 x 365 is 164,250 pound. Divided by 2000 to convert we get 82 tons. So the price of hay for a years ration is 16,425$
Put together this means one year of feeding the alpacas costs somewhere around 27,375$
I have my doubts that the yarn sales will cover that.
It's pretty simple most of them don't understand how to save or budget plus add the fact most of them have little income or live off the government tit it shouldn't be a surprise.

Too bad alpacas don't need HRT.It's pretty simple most of them don't understand how to save or budget plus add the fact most of them have little income or live off the government tit it shouldn't be a surprise.
Some of them are likely only under anime avatars or locked down internet things or they aren't on Twitter so the pics are limited. Most of them look like potential druggies but the skinny blonde serf troon (666dirtwitch really a fitting name for where they live) looks like they're using something.Ok, I must ask. Can someone get all their faces together so we can see who exactly is shooting up needles? I mean, why else would penny want narcan
