I'll tell you exactly why workers in a cotton field came to Lucas's mind: because Lucas hates black people.
He's proven it time and time again. In his efforts to bargain and compromise his way into getting young children, he used to say "I'll overlook white women being with black guys..." translation "something that bothers lucas", "...so YOU should overlook Lucas being with young girls...", translation "something that bothers most people".
Because I'm not actively criticizing your doing something I find reprehensible, (even though Lucas DOES in fact criticize black-man-white-woman unions, at the very least, multiple times he's made plain his sour grapes over the ease at which he sees black men partnering up with young white women) then YOU should ignore my reprehensible sexual proclivities.
He's actually made this argument, multiple times even.
And what came right after "workers in a cotton field"?
McDonald's. Because once Lucas is done hating, it's time to feed.
And once he's "full", it'll be time for hate and jealousy again.
There's literally NOTHING else to Lucas's "personality", if you can even call satiating a base urge like hunger, then hating the rest of the world once your belly is full, a personality.

This is such obvious bullshit.
Lucas doesn't survive on "less than $10,000" a year. To make this argument, Lucas would have to be entirely self-sufficient, living in nature, with a bow and arrows that he crafted from twigs and branches, wearing clothing made out of leafs and berries, and entirely subsisting on food he caught or foraged himself.
I would argue that, given his terrible math skills, even just his tugboat probably added up to more than that, but even if it didn't, part (MOST, arguably) of Lucas's survival in Spokane was making near-constant use of the city's many social services; free food banks, sleeping in homeless shelters to avoid the cold Spokane winters, free healthcare in the form of the vaccinations, and the quarantine which was forced on him after he got covid, during which he was fed restaurant quality meals the entirety of the time... but I guess because Lucas never actually SAW the dollars that gave him all those amenities, that doesn't count, right?
Moron.
(And these facial expressions. "Angry Potato" isn't going to yeet you a bae, Lucas)
