Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I thank you for the vote of confidence. And in a way that makes me feel less... disgruntled. I try to pass on my own takes here, but they are from someone who could simply be wrong. Maybe my starting info was bad, or I missed an important piece, or simply just made a bad call. But either way I can be wrong. And should I ever be clearly wrong I will admit as such.

I am here because I actively enjoy what I do, I like pontificating on the state of the world and piecing together the grand puzzle that is human politics.
All I can really do here is chime in with what he said. You are, despite your arguably (and admitted) low position on the analysis totem pole, the best Kiwi Farms has. Not that I mind since the few inside looks we've gotten thanks to you have been highly illuminating, and able to provide context to more public things we get to see from Twitter and the media. I hope you take this in the complimentary manner its intended, and all I do is use your ideas as a sounding board or starting point. I have my own ideas of how things operate, and you have a similar yet different opinion on a lot of stuff that helps provide context. I'm on the outside looking in, you're in-between, so I think there's enough overlap yet difference to provide complementary (even if or especially if different) starting points for ideas.

Trump has scarily been the best President in my lifetime simply because of his narcissism: Trump would give you whatever you want as long as you loved him back. You want jobs? Boom, record low employment for rural Americans and black people. Trump's whole life was based on making business deals that made everyone rich as long as he got the biggest slice (or any slice if he was a mediator). I don't think any other President in my lifetime has given a fuck about actual American people, even if the people loved him. Obama didn't give a fuck. Clinton didn't give a fuck. Bush didn't give a fuck. Trump loves being loved by people, and will give them whatever they want as long as they love him back (and I presume get a cut on the backend too, but that goes without saying.)
I'm not completely up on history, but I'm guessing this makes him our Huey Long of the 21st century?

Polls have been a clusterfuck recently, fucking hell. RCP's average has Biden underwater -11.5% with 42.2% approval and 53.7% disapproval. Rasmussen has Biden down -19% with 40% approval and 59% disapproval. And IBD/TIPP has Biden -1% with 44% approval and 45% disapproval. The numbers on these polls all tell different stories but each of them still has something worth noting within. Rasmussen's poll suggests that Biden's core diehard followers, the 'strong approval' people have been whittled down to 21% of the electorate. IBD says that an additional 6% of adults (up to 33%) now believe that Covid is the most important issue, but Biden's approval on Covid has dropped 2-3% down to 41% with 39% disapproval. As for RCP, well... I guess it's still a good indicator for which polls are rubbish and which are good.
If you look on RCP you might notice that the least-bad polls for Biden all have an "A" next to the sample size. That means the polls took a sample of all adults, which tends to not give a very reliable result. Better are the ones with "RV" next to them, which means they sampled only registered voters. But better still are "LV", meaning likely voters. Trafalgar and Rasmussen are both polls of likely voters, and they are also, not coincidentally, showing the worst results for Biden.

Stupid question, and I'm only asking because half the results on Google is either "DO NOT TAKE THIS FOR COVID" or Horse Paste to get rid of worms, but is Ivermectin available over-the-counter or is this something that needs to be prescribed by a doctor?
In the US you need a prescription to get ivermectin pills. And even though prescribing off-label is common practice, most MDs won't do it in this case. I've heard that osteopaths and naturopaths are often more willing to prescribe it. Go figure. Getting the prescription filled can also be difficult. Compounding pharmacies are the best bet for that. FLCCC is a good resource for finding out more about this. I have, uh, a friend... who may or may not have purchased ivermectin tablets from an online pharmacy based in the South Pacific for an inflated price.

Expect LV to just get worse and worse. This ties into what I have been saying for a while. The vast majority of Democrats won't suddenly start voting for Republicans... they will start -just not voting-.

I never really noticed the LV/RV distinction before, come to think of it. Go figure that Trafalgar and Rasmussen are the only polls that survey likely voters, and also the two polls that have the worst net approvals for Biden, consistently.

Checking Likely Voters is usually seen as unneccessary. People can change their views on whether they will or will not vote on the fly. Registered Voters is -usually- the gold standard as it's not prone to sudden shifts based on a single policy and has fewer peaks and valleys.

Addendum:
Since the subject was brought up, a quick primer.

All Adults: Not as useless as it seems. Gives a good measurement of the general sentiment -of a region-. Often abused by pollsters to try to claim national levels of support. This is a misuse, the national sentiment is too varied for this to be accurate. My firm actually makes use of it a fair bit, as it can let you clue in to what the general populace is feeling. Also, very useful data to pass on to ground-level workers whose job it is to get people to register and out to vote.

Registered Voters: The general gold standard. People often don't really decide if they are going to vote or not until about the week prior to the vote. This group removes that uncertainty and gives a good feel for general voting patterns. It is, in most cases, the more accurate of the three for how a vote will go. But is not without pitfalls. A particularly bad candidate can depress their vote, in which case Likely Voters becomes the secondary gold standard. It is why both are usually used and their weighted average is used for aggregates.

Likely Voters: Selects for those who are fairly certain both that they will vote and who they will vote for. Rather obviously, this selects for those already invested in the system. Generally missing the sections of people who only really decide how and who they will vote for close to the deadline. Still provides significant views on how the more hardcore elements of the parties and more diligent members of the populace will vote.

Huh, I didn't know there was a House vacancy. Democrat Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick effortlessly won an election in Florida's 20th congressional district (which is D+53) today, which has been vacant since the previous Rep. died of pancreatic cancer back in April. Cherfilus-McCormick is notable partially because she appointed her aide to fill the position of commissioner of Broward County back in November 2020, and the former commissioner retaliated by filing a lawsuit accusing her of bribing voters and having ballots double-counted. Which is funny because you almost never hear a Democrat call voter fraud when another Democrat wins.

it's a antiparasital so you probably need to have parasites to get it prescribed to you.
Or just find a horse vet near you and go buy some there.
It's widely used in malaria ridden countries to cure river blindness. According to a growing list of doctors and scientists with banned opinions, as well as DARPA, it's also very good at preventing viral replication in coronaviruses. You can get it over the counter for some applications, but ordering it from overseas is getting tougher because the FDA and USPS have collaborated to stop inbound packages containing the medicine. The government has two opinions on the matter, one of which they kept secret and the other they share with the public.

IIRC though, this particular woman is the daughter of a Yemeni diplomat who just happened to be born in the US while her father was still serving as a foreign diplomat and was later raised in the US. She was deported as an undesirable alien because of her ISIS bs but tried to claim that she was a US citizen because she was born here. Because of her father's background, she is one of the tiny number of people born in the US who the courts don't agree is a US citizen by birth.
We should allow all the ISIS defectors to come back to the US. Since they are US citizens, they can be tried and hanged for treason by a military tribunal pretty quickly.

it still leaked from a Chinese lab because the Chinese suck at things like basic lab safety. American and Russian labs still store anthrax, and you never hear about mass outbreaks due to lab incompetence
That's mostly because the anthrax vaccine actually works.

Putting the face of a niggress on those gold dollar liberty coins sold by the US Mint wasn't enough now?

What, you don't like purple drank?

Hell, I thought when the "Simpsons Did It" in the 90s, it was a joke. I didn't even realize it was a real thing. Strangely, black people never felt to need to set it on fire (that I know of at least.)

Drug autist hat engaged

Robo-tripping and purple drank don’t use the same type of cough syrup. Drank is made from codeine and promethazine syrups and is the reason why Actavis (one of the brand names of said syrups) was discontinued. Robo-tripping is what high schoolers do when they can’t find weed.

>President Harris
Keep in mind that this isn't the first time he's uttered those words. Is this foreshadowing that he knows his time (i.e. life) is up pretty soon?
he's done that long enough I don't know that it has meaning
I m gonna stand up for @Gehenna here on one point.

One nice thing that our dear leader and feeder null does by suffering host this place is his commitment to free speech, and promotion of anonymity.

This can give rise to people to speak more openly and candidly.

I used to read a website called somethingawful.com and it had a serious political discussion forum that for a few years was pretty good to read. people who knew their shit ether how to argue or experience on HUGE variety of topics could hash it out. Sadly that forum is a rotting corpse of it former self because of IPOL and group think etc.

Gehenna says he works for a political consulting firm, and basically talks shop, he openly pontificates his own theories and opinions and when he can he backs them up.

The insights he s brought to this thread off the top of my head are

1) the concept of political capital and how it relates to the current admin

2) explanation/theory for what is motivating the current admin

3) the only real insider info he provided has been that CNN is doing the political analysis for the current admin.

The fact a dude working for a state level firm is often engaged here is not because his insights are soo fucking salacious its because our current media is a fucking joke, ideally we should be able to turn to any fucking cable, channel or fuck a youtube channel and have educated people providing these kinda analysis and takes and we dont.

He doesnt have a youtube channel or twitter or newsletter he isnt running a grift or self promotion, that with his own disclaimers means people like me and others will put some stock into what he thinks or says.

finally if I m gonna shit on this side of the farms and this sub forum it will be this.

The world isnt fucking static its always in motion the conspiracy shit is annoying. The (((XXX))) have a plan thats been in the works for the last 200 years.

Did the (((XXX))) know the soviet union would collapse? Did the (((XXX))) know perot would split the vote and bring in the clintons? was trump put in power by (((XXX))) to serve (((XXX)))?

Oh yeah biden and all the shit we ve been seeing is all part of that plan from 10, 20, 2000 years ago.

And finally the way people view republicans is just fucking weird you all act like the forever wars and 2000-2008 never fucking happened.

The fucking wuflu it sounds like some chinese people were fucking around with a virus, of course someone fucked up. and then given the nature of chinese society, political and medical system every thing that could be done wrong was

1) the people working at the lab went to a hospital to be seen.
2) hopital staff spread it
3) local officials suppress knowledge
4) Its chinese new year so everyone travels
5) locals have a huge pot luck
6) WHO is compromised by china so they worry more about racism then being effective

The virus being realsed wasnt some master plan, if was a fuck up. And if this fucking virus was 1/10th as deadly as everyone yells about then 3 weeks after summer of love 2020 we woulda been better off.

Okay I m gonna stop ranting.
yeah gonna try to not powerlevel, but he def isn't the only dude around here who isn't necessarily In The Loop but is at least shitwork janitor next-door to In The Loop, and I'm not exclusively referring to me

@Jaimas comes to mind as someone I definitely pay attention to when he makes a post.

Not sure a better place to put this, but people are apparently shocked again that Trump is in favor of the vaccines he tried to help get made. Seems like he's annoyed that Republican politicians aren't promoting his vaccine. Curious as to what Republican congressmen will do now.

Trump sticking to his vax guns is probably the Trump-est thing I've seen him do in a while.
Any rational politician in his position would have started dialing it back and never speak of it again under penalty of torture.

he is also against mandates but i hope to god he remembers to say that each time he speaks on the subject so there is no confusion at all.

And he even reinforced its not necessary for everyone. And I agree with him here. Many are trying to be sneaky and take the booster while being 'against the vaccine'. Frankly, I don't care if they are pro or anti vaccine. I just don't want them trying to have their cake and eat it too.

He is doing something the Republicans hadn't had to deal with in a long time. He is holding them accountable. Not in the Dem sense of "Do as we say or else" but in the actual sense of "Make sure that you are doing what you say".

If only the Fats would just take one, Dr. Donald. If only... Also lol at "no side effects." Blonald Blompf, anointed by God.

There shouldn't be, but we've gone from "Trump needs to address being against vax mandates" to "Trump needs to stop addressing vaccines," and being so fixated there that people bemoan about that point exclusively whilst ignoring the anti-mandate stance.

Just buy it from Amazon as horse paste, what's the issue? Scared of a little apple flavor?

It's should be easily found in any place in the US with a Farm and Ranch/Feed Store. Places like "Tractor Supply" will have it as horse dewormer. Stock looks a little thin right now. Just be sure Ivermectin is the only active ingredient and remember the dosages are for horse weights and you're probably not the same weight as a horse. I know there are recommendations around the internet for dosage amounts.

(If the feds read this I am of course not recommending using Horse Ivermectin for off-label treatment of humans.)
