US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

They keep going for option 2 even though they're flat broke, and they have the issue of red states being really wary of their bullshit now so it's damn near impossible for them to establish machines in states like Texas or Florida.

The real trick is going to be when the right learns to dismantle and disrupt their machines in purple states. That'll be a sight to see.

I heard about 25% is the floor, they're the "vote blue no matter who" types.

But the 15% approval thing? I can guarantee you the NPCs, having watched only MSNPC and the like, have no idea that Biden's approval is less than 80%. My time in the bubble pre-GamerGate showed that these people literally ignore reality and replace it with their own fantasies. Everyone loves liberals except for some vanishingly tiny minority of the country in "flyover country" who are too stupid to allow the coastal elites to rule over them and hate everyone note a white male, and even then they only win elections because of rampant vote rigging on the part of the GOP. (As in, they profess that ANY election lost by the left is by definition stolen, because the entire US supports the left outside of a small minority.)

I think it'd take more like a year or two to get low like that, but maybe it's a snowball sort of thing. Washington Post is already floating the possibility that Republicans might simply win beyond dispute.

To be fair it'll never get that low, the true believer crowd is around ~30% so you can expect Biden to bottom out in the 30s. To verge slightly off-topic, I went to see Ron White this pass weekend and he did not at all get political during his routine (nor did the guy who opened for him). The closest he got was a passing remark of how he was looking like Steve Bannon with the longer hair and beard. It was quite refreshing to not hear a portion dedicated to political swipes masquerading as jokes.
