Sam Hyde

What part of his online presence makes you view him as a lolcow?
He is not a lolcow, neither is he a grifter. He makes content online and some people find it funny, others do not. Threads like this in lolcow sections (metokur and trump) are dumb and all discussion so far is proof of that.

i wish the ayylogs went at him being a trustfund grifter who gives generally awful advice to impressionable people. Though i'll be honest and that's a demographic that is desperate for identity and if not Hyde, will follow someone else. He keeps those half-his-age interns because they are easy to pay next to nothing on whatever star power he can muster in those minds, and they are probably yesmen to boot. Having rich parents doesn't invalidate life experiences good or bad, but its certainly something he'll hide in the general sleazecore stories of south coast car dealerships and societal underbelly of suburban New England. Which i think he's great at capturing to be honest despite being an outsider originally. This disconnect is probably also the experiences of the other two, who i know very little about besides Charls moved to LA and had a weird subtle redpill streaming channel but at the end of the day was playing video games like anyone else on twitch and the other runs an antique business.

I also take with a grain of salt any stories about World Peace. Sam always hyped that he had some killshot against the weird employees of Williams Street but never delivered anything beyond an anonymous recount of some degeneracy. I'm very much alone in this but world peace felt sanitized compared to a lot of his post mirror vids, pre WP content such as those Williamsburg interviews despite WP being much more intentionally provocative. Sam unlike many contentcows produced great things after this moment but continues to bring it up nonstop - The 100 episode run comments, the seething at Tim, who i'm sure hated Sam for being fresher and cheaper competition, etc.

Unlike his detractors whose vocab consists of scrote and little else I believe him to be very entertaining and funny in the right dosages and that helps prop him up to a similar position in my mind to musicians who had good output but were awful people. I wish he made more content about art school students like himself, his bits in Hydewars about timewasters and especially game dev majors were every bit hilarious as true.

This post is less positive than my last one because I really don't believe his camera ran out storage just as that Idubbz interview was getting spicy. His Ford truck has a CT license plate, take that info for what its worth.
so does his supra and Ducati

That's fair enough, I think both Metokur and Sam have created funny content at times but I also wouldn't finance their life via Patreon over it. I think the self-help shit is a bit grifty but I have that opinion across the board of people who want money for that type of content, especially people who make questionable decisions in their own personal dealings. I don't think it necessarily makes any of the advice untrue, like I said, but it does make me not really want to engage in the illusion of a heart-to-heart with some guy I probably wouldn't want to know on a personal level. Plus I just find it boring, I think Sam is a better comedian/satirist than he is a psychiatrist obviously.

The life and financial advice shit is the same thing that Henry Rollins used to do in his spoken word performances before W came into office and he became a leftoid bernie bro. None of the non comedic stuff Sam does is new and the same type of people who take it seriously have been around since the dawn of time. As long as there’s Hebrews out to hurt the average man, there’s been dollar store life advice for those dumb enough to not figure out how to resist their control on their own

@Null you really got that formula down huh
Sam knows he’s filling the shoes for a lot of Reddit retards without actual fathers. That’s exactly what makes him so toxic to society. He’s purposely giving lost, Eminem listening, spergs with only one parental figure in life, heinously bad life advice. If I was like any of these sad fucks I’d be angry at my mother for being such a miserable bitch no man would pretend he wanted to be my father, they use that energy to autistically defend their surrogate internet father Sam Hyde. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so fucking sad.
Go outside and have gay sex

I liked when Hyde was being real in the interview about where he's at and what he think of the world.
If I were in Ian's shoes and couldn't do a murder suicide in minecraft, I'd have pressed on that. Because Hyde was bordering black pilled doomer shit there and it would be interesting to see more of that.
Is that really doomer shit? I just thought it was common sense to believe that there's no fixing the US.

There probably are people who have become funnier as they've progressed into middle age and beyond, but I can't think of too many.
Comedians actually tend to peak in their middle age, both creatively and in popularity.

Thing is that Sam is not following the usual trajectory. The average comic works his balls off for years doing stand-up. It's basically practicing for weeks on end with live audience reaction as a barometer for improvement. For talented comedians, there's a strong correlation between doing steady work and gaining success.

Sam's the exception to the rule in that he peaked early and that fact handicapped him. He made an edgy tv show during a time of rapidly increasing political correctness and, while it was a moderate success, he didn't have the numbers veteran comics attained over years of performing to make him cancelproof.

I think it'd be funnier if they took him somewhere they told him was high crime, left him alone somehow then paid an actor to go up and harrass him for money or something else that'd put him on the spot and make him super uncomfortable.
Hard disagree. Actively fucking with iDubbbz in that way wouldn't be that funny. The stuff in the gaslighting document is hilarious because it's all just them acting like complete fucking weirdos around Ian. They're not punking him as much as they're clowning around, with the punchline being iDubbbz' reaction and his attempt to make sense of the whole thing in a documentary format. Antagonizing him by making him the butt of the joke in such an obvious way wouldn' t work and would just make them look like dicks instead of trolls.

Sam's initial goal clearly wasn't to humiliate Ian, it was to stage an elaborate comedy skit with Ian as a vessel.

It is if he consigns himself to doing “I was pretending to be 40% more degenerate than I actually am” as comedy.
It's more about his vibe than the topic per se, I guess. More serious and introspective and in a sense bitter.

That said, it's not just the US. The US is actually fairly good when looked at in contrast to everywhere else. No way ooperator nool could raise kiwis in peace if this website was hosted in krautland or if cloudflare was cucked like the rest of the silicon valley lizard people.

Yeah, I have seen him say a few times in recent years to just tune out of politics and take care of your own life and family. That ought to be common sense for sure but the increasing culture of "be terminally online seething about things that you can't change" has taken over a lot of peoples lives. His BLM response video was at least half composed of sperging about e-thots but the point was well made that IVing yourself into pop culture and politics these days will make you mentally ill.
