I think it's a major wrong point but not all that went wrong. EVERYONE that needs home health/long term caregivers have to be evaluated for eligibility. Wedge is such an idiot. Does he think that insurance companies just willy nilly hand caregivers out to anyone who asks? This isn't just because the insurance companies want to make money, it's also so your health care provider can make necessary adjustments to your care. For example, maybe someone who was in a bad car accident requires total care for the first few weeks, so they're given 30 hours of home health a week, but after a few weeks, they're healthy enough that now they only require physical therapy and assistance with bathing twice a week.

Further more, Wedge shows a complete lack of understanding about the world around him. If he wasn't too busy trying to look like a clown and attempting to jerk off his non-working peen, he would realize that the world is experiencing a major staffing shortage right now, and it's hit the home health sector hard. Hell, even before covid, it was tough to find enough caregivers. Because, surprise surprise, most people don't like doing gross, back breaking work for minimum wage. Even before the coof hit, the home health industry was struggling. As you alluded to, home health aides get paid nothing for what they're expected to do. For example, having to move someone to the toilet who has limited mobility or just cleaning their diapers (that they actually need and aren't for uwu princess time) or feeding them because they can't do it themselves. A lot of the permanently disabled people they see can be depressed or frustrated, and sometimes it gets taken out on the HHA.

I was friends with a vet who later in his life was in a massive accident that gave him such severe nerve damage he could barely twitch his arm without being in extreme pain. He was basically permanently in his chair for the rest of his life. Even though he had to transfer all of his assets to his wife (who functioned as his 24/7 caregiver, but could only do so much as she was also over 70), he still had to fight constantly to have an HHA despite being permanently and irrevocably paralyzed. Then, it was impossible to get one to stay; there were aides that didn't last more than a month. And this was a man who absolutely needed a HHA for basically anything that wasn't changing the channel on his remote.

Wedge's disabilities are that he's...autistic (yet functioning enough to hold a basic job) and has slightly below average hearing, excuse me, is Ｄeaf?
