EVERYONE that needs home health/long term caregivers have to be evaluated for eligibility. Wedge is such an idiot. Does he think that insurance companies just willy nilly hand caregivers out to anyone who asks? No, insurance companies are a business at the end of the day, and they're in it to make money, and they want to make damn sure the person who requests it *actually* needs it
Even the people who are so obviously disabled (I'm talking, full body paralyzed, no arms, no legs, missing half their skulls, etc), they too have to be evaluated. And usually, it's more than once a year, they have to be evaluated if they make progress and start showing signs of improvement, or if things start to decline. This isn't just because the insurance companies want to make money, it's also so your health care provider can make necessary adjustments to your care. For example, maybe someone who was in a bad car accident requires total care for the first few weeks, so they're given 30 hours of home health a week, but after a few weeks, they're healthy enough that now they only require physical therapy and assistance with bathing twice a week.
Further more, Wedge shows a complete lack of understanding about the world around him. If he wasn't too busy trying to look like a clown and attempting to jerk off his non-working peen, he would realize that the world is experiencing a major staffing shortage right now, and it's hit the home health sector hard. Hell, even before covid, it was tough to find enough caregivers. Because, surprise surprise, most people don't like doing gross, back breaking work for minimum wage. This has caused home health agencies to prioritize who gets care first. There are patients that are actually disabled and require assistance, but they aren't getting care or they are given less hours than they actually need because there simply isn't enough staff to go around.
These home health agencies aren't stupid, they know Wedge doesn't need assistance, so obviously they aren't going to rush to send someone over when they have actual patients that need help. I still cannot fathom how he was ever approved for services in the first place; there are people much worse off than him that are denied every day. I hope they re-evaluate him and determine he doesn't meet eligibility for anything.
