Have to disagree Collative Learning is one the worst film YouTubers I've seen, honestly shocked he has legit fans. His movie takes are on the same level as Moviebob for me.

I'm all for calling out and criticizing all the forced diversity and feminism, but he thinks all women and non-whites are that.

That's just not true. He speaks highly of Ripley in Alien and Sarah Connor in Terminator, and also points out that Predator had good character design without the diversity feeling forced in the slightest. I'm pretty much thinking he really just likes movies that are well-made, instead of the blatant black-washing we tend to get these days.

Easily on the more watchable side of the anti-SJW Fandom Menace types, but honestly that whole crowd got boring a year or two ago for me.

personally, I thought Midsommar was rather mediocre, and super overrated online. The movie it takes obvious cues from, The Wicker Man, is a much superior experience. Also, I haven't seen his video on Midsommar in a while, but I think he might have been criticizing people's praising of it as a feminist film (despite it depicting the opposite of female empowerment) rather than a criticism of the film itself. Again though, I don't remember his review super well, so maybe I'm just conflating it with my own personal opinion

He has the ability to eloquently explain a point and due to his persona of scottish rambling, has over a million subs as a result. He also seems to find the middle over the road when delivering a point. He'll say stuff like "The Message", the forced diversity and how Hollywood is woke but never addresses the core issue of ideological bias, how these people are Neo-Marxists that want you to think according to their inner city living and belong to a certain ethnic group as well.
His Santa Inc review for instance, he mentions that it's ideologically driven that these Hollywood types attack Christmas but not the more obvious point that they're Elves who attack a Christian holiday. This middle of the road attitude is why he's so popular with the normies I think.

Every review has a diatribe about how SJWs are ruining movies as if we don't know that already. His content gets stale really fast. I remember when RLM reviewed Borat 2, which is a very political movie, they did not focus too much on the political content but rather they talked about the technical aspects of the film, such as the editing to make it look like Rudy was flirting with the girl. Jay even said that he felt bad for Rudy because the filmmakers turned him into a monster through editing. The point is not every movie has to be viewed through political lens. It gets old really fast. He is clearly inspired by RLM and the Plinkett reviews. What made the Plinkett reviews special is that they are few and far between. It's clear that if every HitB or BOTW has a Plinkett-style character in them they would go old and stale really fast.

Also, the editing of the videos are fucking awful. I think he records his rants and then is too lazy to make a cohesive edit of the video so he just resorts to clips of movies. He might as well put up a black screen if he has nothing visual to contribute.
