US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

His focus on "treason" is so strange, and his comparison to being on a battlefield incoherent.

"Okay but what if you ran up to your fellow soldiers and said you were gonna lose no matter what. What would happen then??? It's so bad I can't even say it."
Maybe if you were in some authoritarian regime you would get in trouble for such a thing, but that also assumes your regime is around after the battle to even punish people for treason.

If this really is a "make or break battle" he needs to stop acting like he should be doing anything but trying to keep himself from being shot full of holes. This isn't a movie, and no big speech is going to convince the barely 18 year old soldiers following you that their pointless deaths will be anything but a number even if they win. They'll be dead, and they are Zoomers, they aren't able to conceptualize things like delayed gratification, or planting trees for their kids to sit under.

Looks like the new barrier at the white house doesn't surround the building but just around the fountain. Perhaps they have some sort of maintenance work to do on the below ground structure? replacing the fountain? it cant be dealing with anything super secret because then the barriers would be taller to obscure the webcam view. At this point i dont know what they are doing but i'm inclined to believe its not anything too sinister. The use of the semi-decorative (they have simple decorative designs that are similar to the building as a whole) white barriers suggest the capitol architect doesnt want to mar the view too bad. it is the number 1 attraction in town after all.

Someone take a dump in it?

That reminds me of something HK, me, and a few other people were contemplating after 2020 showed all of us exactly how their system worked, combined with @Gehenna ’s and @Jaimas ’s protestations that they’re broke and that the middle managers are in a thankless position. How much of their machine was built around not just competative races, but in keeping the seats they need to keep comfortable. That shit in New Jersey brought that back up in my head. How much of that shit with the trucker beating the incumbant was pure luck and how much of it is the background operations they’ve always relied on being completely tapped out after 2020?
The short version of it is as follows:

1. The dems relied on high turnover to keep the ground game going, under mid-level staffers with actual managerial and leadership skills.

2. This leadership has been suffering a slow bleed for years, as individual members of it retire, die, or fuck off in disgust.

3. The people replacing the rank-and-file, and in turn, the leaders, have increasingly been activists who have minimal ambition and ergo, won't threaten the power structure too much if they go off the reservation too much (a legit concern with some of the newer ones).

4. As result of 2-3, the sort of necessary ground game leadership the Dems need is in critically short supply, and getting worse.

5. They have no solution to this. They chased off the oldsters by failing to deliver, chased off the moderates with abandoning them in favor of embracing the hard left types, and they chased off the talented people from who were left by only promoting suck-ups who couldn't threaten their carefully-stacked deck of cards.

Thing is, all these faggots made enough noise that most fortune 50s, including mine, are (or were lol, this has been silent for a while) about D&I hires do we have useless joggers in some important spots. I have to deal with a few on a regular basis and holy shit.

Always amusing when their own stupidity fucks them in the ass. Pity then, it tends to catch everyone else by proxy. :(

I would like more insight into point 5.

So the rise in the organization you have to be visible, and a kiss ass, but not be ambitus enough to be a threat to the one above you?

Would minor reforms to the organization help? such as giving middle managers more money a path way for train up subordinates?

Finally how does the GOP differ in their management/career path?

Nobody with any talent goes into managing political organizations. I dunno what you do for a living but I’d rather manage Pajeet call center tech support hell than either party’s public “workers”.

I can't help but feel this is all performative theatrics so they can haul their pals from Big Tech in, who will present phony/doctored bullshit that the committee will accept as Gospel Truth and run with, proclaiming that there's no way in hell Facebook or Twitter would falsify documents to help keep their paymasters in power.

It'll be the same shit as everything else.
They'll get "evidence" and either they will post anonymous user posts by TikiTorchJesusLoverTrumpFanAntivax316 and parade them around like they mean anything or they'll look into the posts and find out it's 20 feds saying "We should do illegal stuff" and one Cletus going "Well if you guys say so"

Tucker was on tonight. I'm giving today's performance a 5/10 compared to last time's 8/10 when he forced Ted Cruz to lick his boot. He started off basically giving a recap of what the Biden administration considers its greatest terror threat, touched on the FBI and Ray Epps, briefly shit on NPR, at some point he interviewed one of the guys charged with seditious conspiracy today, and then had this to say about the Supreme Court. A lot of it was boring.

This greasy blue checkmark thinks he's delivering some inspirational heroic speech to turn the tide when he sounds more like some deranged apparatchik screaming 'deserters will be SHOT!' :story:
"They are traitors and defeatists, and they are not fighting with enough heroism!" - Some Austrian painter, circa 1945
thatsthejoke.jpg

"Sir, we have record high gas prices and it's seriously hurting us in the polls. What should we do?"
"Shut down any further energy development!"
I realize that The New Republic is a rag written by and for left-wing administrative complex dick suckers, but putting aside the ludicriousness of their headline...do they really think saying "think about Kamala!" is going to sway anyone? No one fucking likes Kamala, she's the last person you want to put up as a sympathetic poster child for whatever cause you're trying to push.

More bad news for Joe. Wisconsin is no longer in play.
Won't this just get instantly overturned by a Dane County judge?
