NewsNation/Decision Desk decided to do a poll asking various questions regarding Covid. Included with one of the questions was a pretty stunning set of answers:

"Question 12: When it comes to information about COVID-19, which of the following sources would you say you trust? Select all that apply. (margin of error: 5.8%)"

• Dr. Anthony Fauci: 30.8%
• Federal health authorities like the CDC and the FDA: 49.8%
• Your doctor: 63.2%
• President Biden: 15.5%
• The news media: 10.2%

The public as a whole only trusts health organizations and doctors they know for information about Covid. This trust of doctors doesn't extend to Fauci, though, because of how badly he's behaved this whole pandemic. 73.9% of the respondents were vaccinated and 73.4% support an indoor mask mandate too, so this really just goes to show how loud the Branch Covidians who love Fauci are. 91.9% of respondents are also either "somewhat" or "very" concerned about inflation.

As an Arizonan, haven't heard a peep about this at all. And Sinema, of all people, knows she'd get absolutely trounced if she did run for Prez at this point, especially against Trump. Personally, I've followed her for years here in the state and she was about as looney libtard as they come. Her beating McSally for the Senate seat was a surprise, but in retrospect, it was due to McSally trying to smear Sinema every time she opened her mouth and every attack campaign ad she ran on TV 24/7. People get tired of the constant negativity barrage. To her credit, Sinema stayed above board with the attack shit and stuck to the issues. It's been surprising to me that she's stuck to principles and not turned into some Arizona version of AOC. Given that, I'd even consider voting for her in the future (didn't before) as long as she continues to stay moderate and doesn't cuck completely to the Dems.

Mark Kelly, on the other hand, is very likely to go bye-bye. Absolute schmuck and you haven't heard about one fucking thing he's done since grifting his way into the Senate, other than his paid for "Mark Kelly is soooo great!" self-promoting commercials that run constantly here in AZ.

Trump is here tomorrow. I was considering going to see him, as I have in the past. It will be an absolute mob scene, to be sure, so I may end up just having a cocktail at home and streaming it live. He'll be at the Country Thunder venue in Florence, which is a huge outdoor venue. In the past for music festivals, it's drawn about 36,000 people a day. I don't doubt his attendance will be close to that. He always draws overflow capacity at every event he's done here in AZ.

It's because the issue has been raised for the past few election cycles, both for state elections and nationally, that it's WEIRD that every moderator is a diehard Democrat and chooses to step all over the candidates' answers. It's been brewing since Romney got "corrected" by the moderator to try to save Obama, when it turned out she was factually wrong. This is one of the truly good decisions the GOP has made in a long time. In the Virginia governor's race, Youngkin refused to debate for months because the moderator they had picked out had a thousand conflicts of interest, and nobody wanted to admit it. It's basically growing out of that conflict: reform, or we will not participate. And it's very clear no viewer is getting any good information about candidates and policies out of the debates. They'd be better off just letting them loose on a stage for three hours.

Republicans should do parody debates where the moderator is Glenn Beck.

The difference is the Republicans can use their debates as roasts while also talking about their plans. Is that what Dems do? Of course, but they also seethe whenever anyone acts the way they do. The funniest person is the most persuasive one and the Dems castrated all their comedians.

The point of modern debates isn't to have a good argument. It's to get cheap shots and shitty gotcha moments in on your opponent, except it tends to happen to the Republican candidate more because the moderator is a liberal.
