Inactive Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka - Deadbeat (emphasis on "Dead") founder of Something Awful, forced out of his own community, on his second divorce, stuck his dick in crazy, "Birth Giver"

Even as late as Oct 2019, he was grossing between the forum and Pateron, what, $200k a year? Even if %75 of that was spent on taxes, medical bills, and child support that would net him $50k. A family of three can live quite comfortably on $50k a year in Bumblefuck, MO. Obviously you're not gonna be living in a 6 bedroom McMansion with a lawyer foyer, you're not going to be eating Goldbelly every night, and your family truckster is going to be a Kia minivan than a GTR, and your libation of choice will be 30 packs of Busch beer rather than Oxys. But that's the problem, and it's been discussed before, but LowT didn't want comfortable, He wanted to live a life so hedonistic and self-destructive it would make Charlie Sheen blush.
A man destroyed by his greed and desire, a tale as old as time. Studying about the tale of King Midas should be mandatory in schools, perhaps there would be less clueless greed globins in the world

It's sort of depressing that at every step in the chain of events that led to this fucking retard killing himself, we were giving him absolutely correct advice that would have saved his life had he taken it.
I wish I was a lolcow so hundreds of internet strangers would give me good advice to make my life better.

Lowtax was sort of like the modern day Midas, except everything he touched eventually became dead and gay. The forums, his Patreon, and lastly himself.

I've recovered from my lurker's remorse, and have to say that the final season of Lowtax including divorcing to hook up with a bipolar business partner (not girlfriend), losing Something Awful, losing hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in passive income, leaked foot adoration pics, reported sweaty toes violence, tranny photo shoots, moving into a basement, eating 7-11 hotdogs as a legit dinner, eating sausage logs for paltry donations, and eating a bullet, is pretty funny.

A lot of dramas peter out, or don't know how to write a decent end; Lost, Sopranos, Dexter, GOT...
It's good to see a satisfying finale for once.

To completely miss your solid joke:
The Sopranos had the ending the creator intended. The screen going back is Tony getting wacked by suprise by the guy who went into the bathroom to get a gun and his life ending and all the remaining theads unresolved because he (and the audience) is dead.
Its sort of bullshit, but I GET it. Other examples spot on.

RLM mocks "Gunshot, Fade to Black" but I think it has its place. It means "The protagonist is now dead." It might be overused and used incorrectly, but I wouldn't reject it completely.

Yeah the final season of Lowtax certainly ended with a bang. And now we get to watch the spin-off series, which may turn into a riveting courtroom drama.

It ended with multiple bangs. Before the life-ending bang, he banged a tranny. And before that, he banged a crazed BPD clout whore.

The only reason I give the Sopranos a partial pass is because there is no gunshot; he's dead and never realized what happened.
My main issue is that while yes, its an artistic way to end the series, I was not watching the Sopranos for the show-runners thoughts on life and death, I was watching it for the twists, turns and wanting to see what happened with the characters. Its like how True Detective went to shit after the first season because the runner mistakenly through people gave two shits about his philosophy and didn't realize people had only been putting up with because the characters were compelling.

Don't forget the Porn Parody where his daughters end up working in truck-stop strip clubs because of daddy issues.

What are your thoughts on the dream sequences?
