She could also put the kids in the car and leave her affluent whitebread suburb full of Covid-obsessed neurotics for someplace further out, in a county that doesn't vote deep blue. Even pale-blue counties are a lot more relaxed about Covid restrictions, and will have attractions and activities that her kids can enjoy.

But my god, she might encounter filthy, racist conservatives while there, and her virtue signalling might get met with eye-rolling, and some of those people might own guns, and certainly some unclean, Trump-voting anti-vaxxer will infect her kids, and re-infect her, and they could DIE.

Plus, she just doesn't want to, and doesn't give a shit about giving her kids a respite from constant Covid-fear and isolation because she needs that to sell her "long Covid" story.

While I believe Covid exists and is bad there are a lot of ways still doing things. You just need to get a bit more creative and think things through and then everything you want to do is still possible.
Are there no playgrounds where she lives? Take the kids to those. They are free. But then Kell would get a breath of fresh air and it would kill her. Poor kids. Don't they even have a backyard? Just dress them warm and let them out run freely. Kids need to burn energy to be happy.

Towards the beginning of this thread I remember pictures of her baking and doing art projects at home with her daughters. She could even have them dress up in their favorite silly outfits and have a fun little photoshoot, since she’s a photographer. Literally anything. literally everyone who lives in the more northern areas of the Midwest exist with this type of cold yearly. We commute to work, we walk our dogs, kids go outside. Nothing stops until there's frost Bite risks, diesel gels up, or the rodes are VERY hazardous.

I am suspicious that she just doesn't own any coats or warm legwear that fit anymore.

I don't know if the kids have dolls but she could spend some time teaching them how to make doll clothes or even sew something fun for their rooms, like cute pillows. The oldest may be able to learn to use a sewing machine and even the youngest is capable of learning to use a needle and thread. They could watch YouTube videos and learn how to crochet (granny squares are simple) too. There are lots of crafty things they could learn that might give them a lifetime of joy.

She really should just admit it for attention. There's a growing number of posters on Instagram posting about hating motherhood, yet are trying to have another kid so their existing kid can have siblings. It's shockingly well-received to straight up admit you hate motherhood and your kids on there.

There's way too many housewives with no sense of guilt or shame on Instagram.
