Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Doubl-,no, tripling down on stupidity, I see.

Every time I see that cunt’s smirking mug, it reminds me of how disappointed I was when the kidnapping plot was unearthed and it became clear the perpetrators didn’t succeed.

Learned absolutely -nothing- from Virginia. When will these autocratic, totalitarian fuckheads realize that telling parents that they shouldn’t be involved/kept in the dark about ANYTHING involving their kids is a horrid idea? I mean, how hard is it to put yourself in the shoes of a parent who votes? I’m not a parent, but I imagine that if anyone fucks around with your kids, it makes you pissed. They’re so out of touch that they’ll continue pushing indoctrination and telling mom and dad that they’re the bad ones, and that it’s none of their business what the schools are forcing defenseless children to embrace (not realizing how enraging they sound- remember the teachers that didn’t want parents in the room during remote learning?). They’ll continue to ignore this powerful voting bloc to their own detriment, to which I say keep going.

The first people who had this idea that kids and their education are for societal good were the French Jacobins in the French Revolution.

"Children shall belong to their mother, provided she has suckled them herself, until they are five years old; after that they shall belong to the republic until death." - Louis-Antoine de Saint-Just

A few months after he started floating this idea, he and everyone he shared power with was dead. Just an interesting tidbit for you.

Dan Crenshaw must be trying to lose his House seat in November... facepalm

Now would be probably the best time. At least right now Breyer can hold out hope that Manchin and Sinema would be willing to vote for his replacement.
"That's not very Christian [of you to ask me if I believe Christian doctrine]."

He's a dope, and this combative tone is the wrong tack. Bad, bad.

The Virginia standoff continues with Loudoun choosing violence.

And 28 House Dems so far have decided not to run in the fall. Not all their seats are safe Dem.

Every time I go shopping my resentment and disdain of the child sniffing geriatric chicom plant we currently have as president grows exponentially. I've seen people legit on the verge of tears just out shopping because they can't even get basic necessities like food or baby supplies. It just keeps getting worse and it's not even like it was during 2020 pandemic times where it was just shortages because of mass buying, this shit seems to have no end in sight. And to think of the abundance we took for granted just a couple years ago.
Yeah, I dont let it get to me, but I saw an old black lady freak the fuck out at the grocery store a month ago. I go to this one store first thing in the morning once a week to get all the good markdown meat. As I was approaching the register this lady walks around me to walk past the register and as she does she stops, turns and points to the cashier, and screams “Y’all ain’t got SHIT I need in this store! What’s wrong with y’all!!!”, then she stormed out. I think the heat’s starting to get to folks.

I wonder if they'll have the cameras there to breathlessly defend this one guy as he says Trump literally told him to get in the Capitol.
Was this the guy everyone was yelling "FED! FED!" at?

They wouldn't let an agent provocateur testify unless they could spin his testimony the way they wanted.

Great. As the Bread runs low, all they have for us is more Circus.
Seen on Twitter: "bread and circuses, only there's no bread and the only act in the circus is the bearded lady."

I'm frankly amazed that Biden et al have managed to lose the plot so hard so quickly. I guess they were just so used to the system coasting on inertia they never imagined they'd be the guys it finally ground to a halt under.

I notice today there's a lot more speech coming from (D) politicians about wanting to sanction Russia over Ukraine...

So, I guess they're just being open now that the reason they filibustered the Cruz sanctions bill was because they want their names on the authorship?

Win at all costs, if only our side followed this.
So, Calvinball it is? Will they get away with it?

No shit if they kick off WW3 I fully expect it's due to the notion that WW2 is what readjusted the american economy and got the U.S. out of the great depression.

I'd love to see them try and draft people in 2022, it'd go over about as well as ending slavery did.
Problem with that is that you also have to take into account that the post-WW2 boom basically only happened because WW2 decimated Europe economically for about three decades and left America and Russia the only remaining super powers left in the world.

At best, WW3 would render America officially a declining power since our military never fully recovered from Afghanistan and Iraq; let alone the fact that our country is so fucking divided and the Democrats literal bad faith actors that no one would trust NOT to be starting a pointless war to save their hides and get Biden re-elected.

At worst, a war would be VERY unpopular, spark the Democrats arresting ANYONE critical of them under sedition charges, and see more economic catastrophe as the economic continues to tank and you have turnip winter level starvation, a divided anti-war movement that probably won't be able to order a pizza let alone coordinate protests, and finally a messy as fuck civil war that mirrors the fall of Germany or Russia at the end of WW1.

RINO Cuck alert:

Earlier there was video of Crenshaw McCain getting called out for his "Jesus is a fictional person" bullshit, here he is revealing he's even more of a stooge. It seems like the people in Houston suburbs are actually going to try and do something.

The faggot actually tries to say he can't go visit the 1/6 prisoners because he would just draw attention to himself, a not so subtle dig at MTG and Gaetz. He's getting more brazen in being a vile power hungry prick.

they actually kept a bunch of cities technically independent so they could instigate wars and collect prisoners for mass sacrifice. it's the reason the Aztec empire looked like this:

Look up the Flower Wars or the history the Aztecs told about themselves, like how they instigated war with a neighboring city by having their king marry the neighboring kings daughter, inviting him over, and greeting the king while wearing a cape made from his daughter's flayed skin.

Awesome, Im glad that entire evening was so uncomfortable for the "war hero". I hope they keep the pressure up.

The opposition to this phony has really been increasing recently and the public spat with the local radio host is only making it worse.

As I have said before, the recent ability for so many on the right to get over the military worship is one of the best things to ever happen.

I was going to say this feels very out of character for both Trump and Destantis. That's why I questioned it. Not surprise.
The Daily Mail article mentions both Axios and NYT article as citations. Of course its bullshit.
Seriously, how much dirty money is tied up in Ukraine belonging to U.S. politicians and their donors that in the face of all our domestic troubles, we're still focusing all of our energies on this country?
Billions. And no, I'm not exaggerating. If any of the leaks from that Latvian bank are correct, there is a fortune in dirty money held in various Eastern European countries that was extorted and embezzled in one way or another, if not from the usual in-country corruption then by diverted foreign aid payments, all going on for at least a decade. Hunter was just the tip of the iceberg.
I'm just worrying about Taiwan. If Russia starts invading Ukraine, who's to say that China won't invade Taiwan during the chaos?
Taiwan. The current balance of power very much favors Taiwan thanks to China's lack of a real navy, home ground advantage, and the absolutely hellacious terrain, both in Taiwan itself and the countless jagged rocks and tricky currents in the strait.
On top of this - A near-peer war will be won or lost in the first few weeks of committed material, not manpower. Neither side would be able to sustain the material losses needed to hit the manpower losses that would justify a draft, much less sustain the material losses for long enough to train the draftees to even the most basic level of competence. Any lesser commitment of materials to avoid the above issue would be a correspondingly lower intensify of conflict, nullifying any realistic need to draft in the first place.

The days of converting car factories to producing tanks are long gone. Even if they drew up wartime designs to utilize the manufacturing capability that is available, they wouldn't be able to keep up demand for other components such as electronic systems that would be required to avoid making it just a rolling missile practice target. And you are simply put not capable of just press-producing critical equipment like aircraft no matter how hard you try to retrofit existing lines. Outside of small arms and support vehicles, you're going into any war with what you've got stockpiled, and you'll win or lose off the merits of that equipment, not what you could be producing a year down the line.
So... the US wins by default, then? Ironic that the very thing that makes modern combat vehicles viable on the battlefield (lots of classified, high-tech components) also prevents their mass production in time of need.

Also, it wasn't car factories that made tanks in WW2. It was converted locomotive factories, with tractor plants cranking out half-tracks. Trucks were far too valuable to convert their factories to tanks, and tanks just too dissimilar from automotive work. But their construction methods weren't too different from how trains were made. And the most productive plant by-far, the Detroit Arsenal, was scratch-built from the ground up for armored vehicle production. Same deal with Willow Run and its bomber an hour.

That said, you're drastically understanding US production, even during the Cold War. Lima was cranking out 120 M1A1's a month during the Cold War, or 4 per day. And that was just for stockpile and peacetime issue, not full-blown war production. You bet your ass we'd build another dedicated factory or two to supplement. For everything the USA has sold off or moved overseas, a surprising amount of production capability still remains.

On Ukraine:
The reason the Russians are so worked up over Ukraine is because the current Russian border is indefensible. Especially when you consider that their army is the biggest its going ever be (in the nearish future) right now. Under soviet rule the Russian people had low birthrates, but this was covered up by the USSR owning half of Europe. Combine low birth rates with the loss of 1.7 million men in WW1, 12 million in the civil war, and 27 million in WW2 and you get very bad demographics. and when the USSR collapsed and it got REALLY shitty in the 90's they just about stopped having kids altogether. this means that upcoming generations will be smaller than before, which means the armed forces will be smaller than before. Russia has a massive border that can not be protected with a small army, and their old strategies of running into the heartland is not a good idea in the modern world. and they cant draft 15 million men to throw at NATO like they did in WW2. that would extinguish the Russian ethnicity in effect.

Point being: they need to get a more defensible border but cant without seriously risking the future of their nation even if victorious.
