Mega Rad Gun Thread

From what I'v heard and seen, Kalashnikov USA is producing the same quality (if not better in some instances) as the actual Russian built Kalashnikov's.

Yeah no offense towards the PSA crowd but I'v heard their AK's are absolute dog shit. A good quality AK will last longer than I will, that's why I'm going with a KUSA.
idk if i'd say Russian built quality, but the AKOU (THE Ak guru on yt, Mexican dude btfo'd) has given it the thumbs up of approval if I understand correctly.

AKOU is a paid PSA shill, I wouldn't take his word for shit.

That being said, I have seen the KUSA facility and they do have the Kalashnikov Concern TDPs.

Jakl revision looks good, the compact Dagr was unexpected, PSA wants to get into bolt Guns source is 12:20 and onwards

Lol no but here's some 30 super carry no one asked for.

Ain't gonna happen. All the manufacturers have announced permanent price increases back in December I think.
Yeah the biggest problem is raw material cost increases. The price of raw brass has almost doubled along with 15-30% increases in copper and lead. All materials are going up

I picked up a really interesting pistol recently. It's a Giles 1911 Match. John Giles is something of a legend in the gunsmith community. In the 60's he was a pioneer in 1911 accurizing techniques. He was one of the first to swage, weld, and re-machine frame rails, weld and re-cut locking lugs, and to manufacture ready to be machined match barrel bushings.

His 1911 target guns had his signature sight rib with the "wagon wheel" adjustable rear sight. It has a stippled frontstrap and flat mainspring housing, as well as all of his accurizing work. It's set up to shoot 200gr semi-wadcutters. My gauge puts the trigger right at 3 lbs.

Test fired it yesterday just banging the dueling tree paddles and it runs perfectly. This coming weekend I'm going to see what it does on paper. If it lives up to the reputation, I might give my S&W 52 a break, and use the Giles for the next centerfire bullseye competition series.

Fit, finish, workmanship and function are all top-notch. The slide to frame fit is really something. Paperwork that came with the gun says it came out of the Giles shop in 1968. A great piece of old-school pistolsmithing. This example is in the same condition as mine-

I don't remember who said they might attach the stock/brace to the pistol grip on it but you can officially say you called it.

I thought they'd actually go balls to the wall and attach it to pistol grip and the QD just for rigidity so I'll take half credit.

Oh so that's what Snake meant in MGS3, I thought the frame welding was just a bad translation from Japanese.

So we may be getting M77s again, if there's enough demand for them. Here's hoping.
I saw this too. If this is priced around the M70s on atlantic firearms (~$1000 I think?), would it be reasonable to consider this the new poor mans battle rifle? better then the PTR, cheaper then the Scar 17s/ Spear?

Also, No Optic cut? if Langdon Tactical can do it to a Beretta 92 then FN can do it to a Hi-power, not to mention no ascessory rail.
If you're getting lasers and taclights and optics I don't think the Hi-Power is for you. Het!PistolIsFine.jpg
Got my last Form 4. Took just over a year. I hate the fucking ATF.
Thank you for your feedback. Please ensure your dog is out of the house for the next 3-56 weeks.
With barrel supported you can literally shoot it with a thumb and trigger fingers, just let it recoil.
Based slav needs to chamber his AR in .50 Beo to feel anything.
With age austigmatism problem can be result of tired eyes, reading too much, reading too much in one position/distance or just being tired. You got muscles focusing your eyeballs, muscles can get tired too.
Then he goes to the range to shoot it in Stevie Wonder shades.

Has anyone here had a chance to look at the neo-Colt Python? I've heard not so good things about it, and I am disappointed it didn't get re-released in blue, not to mention its overpriced as hell.

Thoughts on this bushmaster upper?

$400 for a good quality upper with charging handle and bolt carrier group is pretty reasonable given today's prices. Bushmaster makes decent stuff.

The listed specs are confusing though. The description to the left says it has a lightweight contour barrel with a 1 in 8 twist, while the other description says it's a 1 in 9 twist heavy barrel.

"meh it's okay i guess"

QRC is nu-Bushmaster's budget E2S variation on the XM-15 line. a budget-oriented carbine that's meant to have good quality for the money asked and largely does this well enough. the SKU is always a 16" 4150 CMV 1/8 barrel, although exact contour will vary if it's the carbine or patrol variation, but both are "lightweight" pencil barrels (0.625" under the FSB).
