Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? idk if any of you caught Tucker Carlson's show tonight, and there isn't a clip I can find specifically of this yet, but he may have just fired off a warning shot to Crenshaw that he will roast him like he did Cruz if he doesn't knock off his shit. Speaking about the various factions in DC that are freaking out about Ukraine he listed off Adam Schiff and Dan Crenshaw in succession and followed up with "not as different as they seem."

Now, I know Tucker is just a talking head, and treat him accordingly, as just another source of news and information to add to the pile to sift through what passes the sniff test. But we all saw how much influence he wields when he had Cruz on and embarrassed him in front of everyone and within days Cruz had changed his tune completely about 1/6 rioters and started acting like a conservative again, at least somewhat. Now Cruz is famous for not handling challenges from the right of him well, but Tucker is like Cruz in one big way - they both say what they mean to say. Their words are chosen carefully to convey the message they're trying to deliver. I don't think Tucker would have included that shot at Crenshaw as just a passing thing and am interested to see where this goes.

That was the point of the 1/6 "insurrection"; false flag shit to basically outlaw the GOP when it became apparent that the bulk of the public knew damn well that the Democrats stole the 2020 election.

But they won't fucking do it outright, IE make illegal the GOP because it's a rubicon, if crossed, will mean Civil War 2 kicks into high gear and the Democrats, in spite of all their evil, aren't fully prepared to burn the nation to the ground just yet as far as still thinking they can turn it into a one party fascist state with them in charge.

If they lose BIG in 2022, probably expect them to do that. Hell, I would not be shocked if they finally give the kill order to arrest Trump and other GOP lawmakers for treason the day after the election, both to bury the story of their asskicking and to send a message that they will break any and all laws and taboo to prevent themselves from from losing power.

They don't have the balls to pull that, the top Democrats and their donors have too much to lose in the case of a civil war. If they're driven from power they can still run all kinds of grifts and live a cushy life. If they start a violent conflict all bets are off - they could end up as dictators of a new Woke America but they could also end up in front of a firing squad. And who will fight on their side? The urban bug hives don't exactly cultivate quality troops.

Sadly MSNBC has been shilling the lie that the press conference was a great outing for Biden and have pretty much been spending the last couple of days pushing bullshit "Trump is going to be arrested any time now for treason" as the main story narrative, with the only lip service they are giving to the conference was "Biden nailed it and proved he was on top of his game" and not even talking about the failed filibuster/VRA votes.

I understand desperation, but I don't get this pathetic theater the democrats are putting up.

I'm not a political pundit, but they keep punching the knife's edge expecting it to not cut. They knew they didn't have the votes for the filibuster and yet they played the same tune they did with BBB and expect they could shame and blame the same people they have tried before and it didn't work, why would they think it would work again?

Yeah, i've heard arguments that the dems are being pressed by their big bucks donors to do so, but in the end it is just another L, they are just not letting the dust settle, and the public ain't goign along with them anymore.

So why the dems just try to be, you know, boring? You don't have to battle for the soul of a nation every fucking week, why not just work on more tangible, and yet boring issues, that you can show a plan and expect a progression of results, like the border stuff, announce some new measures for the inflation and see if they can help, or work new plans for the supply issue.

Yeah, you won't have people tweeting about it, at least not as much as these hot button issues, but they can show at least some progress on those fronts right?

But sitting there, taking yet another L and them blaming for republican obstruction... I mean, the democrats spend the last 4 years calling every republican facists, why would they expect them to get along now?

This whole thing feels odd. I don't really like to say "you shoudl do this or that", because I know fuck all about politics and how these institutions work, it's just, everything feels odd with the american gov since Biden took over. Say what you want about Trump, at least when he took over, the machine seemed to be working just fas usual.

Also tonight on Hannity, President Trump said his "feud" with DeSantis is "fake news" and went on to say he has a great relationship with Ron and plans to for a very long time. Hannity said DeSantis said in a private conversation the feud is "complete and utter bullshit."

Honestly, it's why I like to see the genuine Trump criticisms (Israel, Kushner, and joggers are memes, as is the DeSantis-TrueCon grift); all of it shows that the movement is still alive.
