Megathread Tranny Sideshows on Social Media - Any small-time spectacle on Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, Dating Sites, and other social media.

Granted last time I saw this movie I was a kid and I barely remember anything, but wasn't the general moral of the story that messing with genetics/playing god is a big fucking mistake?
Jeff Goldblum basically lays out that it's all about the butterfly effect and the unpredictability of unforeseen variables (see frog genes).

Could there be say, an unpredictability of delaying or avoiding puberty in children? No, I'm sure this untested procedure with no long term outcomes recorded yet will work out fine.

I don't have context or even the uncropped image but I saw this shot of Charles Clymer for the first time and I knew you all would be pleased to see it.

We already knew this, but I'm glad that his teammates keep throwing his ass under the bus.
Lol ok, I would prefer more people call this douchebag out openly, but I understand why the teammates themselves have to do it anonymously.

But that aside, I do appreciate the more stereotypically "female socialization" approach of just tittering and gossiping about him anonymously, in the shadows. Everyone around him hates him, this is being reliably documented by journalists (ie I'm sure the journalists involved are actually vetting that the people they're talking to are actually on the team, I don't think even troons are doubting this), and there's nothing he can do about it.

It's like when troons start off by demanding people "respect" their identities, but then realize it's a hollow victory when they realize everyone calling them "miss" and "ma'am" still don't respect them.

You can't compel respect and some troons are realizing this.

"bless your heart" type shade, I love it.

I can fully imagine what it would be like to walk around in an obviously gendered body rheeeering and crying every time someone didn't read my pronoun pins.

This video has a quick rundown of Shinigami Eyes, where the name comes from, why it was made, shows the kind of troonacy that it's used for, some examples of why it's susceptible to targeted interference by people with too much time on their hands and what happens when troons turn on their supposed allies.

I don't know why trannies keep going on about congenital sex chromosome disorders because none of them have them.
Slight PL but I know someone who has a chromosomal disorder and he doesn’t consider himself intersex or trans because he didn’t even find out about it until he was older.
His chromosomes are confused but he looks like a man and acts like a man (other than the medical issue stuff which also can cause mental illness) and he’s a man.

Throwing people like him under the bus for skirts to go spinny spin with a societal “pass” makes me angry tbh. A lot of intersex people you can’t even tell by looking at them so full on trooning out because of it is a cope.

The thing that gets me with these sob stories is, what if he's just an unpleasant person to be around. Like, would a cis women be able to scream discrimination if a group of work colleagues excluded her? So often these people are basically demanding friendship from women in their lives. HR mandated girlpals, under threat of disciplinary action.

People also tend to form workplace cliques and hangout together as a group outside of the office. Just because someone outside of the clique isn't invited to join in doesn't necessarily mean they're unpleasant to be around... maybe they're perfectly lovely to work with, but just aren't a good fit for the group socially.

With that said, I don't blame these women one bit for excluding him. It's not like they were going out for drinks after work, they were going to a spa. Spas are supposed to be relaxing... inviting a troon would have defeated the whole purpose because they would have probably been terrified of being exposed to his penis the whole time.

Did you ever have an aha! moment about a creator, like aha! that's why there's so many teenagers taking their shoes off?
Well, I had one about Joss Whedon.

There is a very specific scenerio that Whedon returns to in his shows like a dog to his vomit:

A nerd, or group of nerds, kidnaps a woman, and force her through mind control to enact scenarios where she is humiliated for the sexual enjoyment of the nerds.
This is treated as morally ambigious or fully acceptable. The (wannabee) rapists are treated as cOmPlEx ChArAcTeRs who need our understanding, not condemnation and are obvious Whedon selfinserts.

This is meant as an overview, not a full collection. I haven't watched a Whedon show in 10 plus years so please forgive slight inaccuracies. I'm trying to establish a pattern, not nail do specific instances.

Buffy_The_Vampire_Slayer_Dead_Things_2002_3.jpg

The Ur-Example I remember is in Buffy, where the nerd squad kidnap this woman and force her to be their maid through some gadget. There is a strong implication they intend to keep her around as a literal sex object. She eventually snaps out of it and dies trying to leave.
Two out of three feel bad about it and face no punishment, while the third gets exploded by Willow for unrelated reasons.

eliza-dushku-dollhouse.gif

My second example is the entire show Dollhouse. It's literally about a creepy nerd dude mind controlling a stable of mostly sexy women into playing dress-up as well as prostituting them.
The creep is a very cOmPlEx ChArAcTeR who sometimes does nice things for the sex slaves.

3d6844528dfeb468382c90ef06238044.jpg

In Firefly there's a literal sexbot who ends up "marrying" the creepy nerd in a jewish ceremony.
Whedon solves the consent problem by not having her be a person in the first place. Mazel tov!

In Cabin In The Woods a Cheerleader is deliberately dumbed down by a group of nerd controllers through gas to fulfull a sexual stereotype. It is a somewhat loose example, because the nerds don't have a sexual motive. Whedon had a co-writer on this one, so I wonder who made that choice.

There are definitely more examples, but I'm not rewatching any of his shit.

--

The reason I'm writing all of this is because Whedon is creator, writer and director on Buffy, Firely and Dollhouse. This is fully his creative vision. He choose to put that actress into a maid uniform and have creepy selfinserts repeat his choice while playing at being abused. He choose to make an entire show about dress up rape scenarios.

In short: Whedon has a Domination / Bimbofication fetish that is represented throughout his work. He gets off on it and tries to normalize it.
Whedon also got a lot of flack after Avengers: Age of Ultron when it was revealed that the Red Room forced sterilization on the Widows and that's why Bruce and Natasha couldn't happen, because Nat couldn't have children. Story wise a group of female spysassains, it makes sense they'd be infertile, risk of babies would interfere. But there was no need to make it explicitly stated and certainly no reason to hinge a budding relationship on it.

There was a Spike/Buffy attempted rape scene in Buffy that triggered (omg that word, but it fits) the actor who played Spike. He said he couldn't watch that episode because it was so traumatic to film. The scene paved way for Spike to go get his soul back, but everyone agrees that there were other methods he could have used. Not even Angelus was deranged enough to rape.

Angel had an arc where a sweet, innocent girl gets literally replaced by an evil, ancient goddess in front of her boyfriend, who ends up falling for the goddess before he dies horribly at the end of the season.

People talk about how Supernatural treats women, and yes, female characters on Supernatural tend to not last very long and end up dying in horrible ways (Charlie, anyone?) but at the same time that show treats them a whole lot better overall during the time they are on screen. They tend to kick ass and be whole people who aren't there for sexual reasons. Also, the show wasn't putting itself forth as some kind of ~feminist manifesto~. It was what it was, a brutal, sometimes funny show about two brothers and their family.

Unlike Whedon who never seemed, until recently, to get criticized about his treatment of women in his shows. Buffy wore a lot of *really* short skirts in season one. She was supposed to be seventeen and was always wearing miniskirt. She didn't usually fight in them, but wow, and some of the clothes she did fight in was just as impractical. Maybe the reason Whedon didn't get as much criticism as Supernatural did was the lack of modern day internet during the Buffy years, or maybe I didn't notice it because I didn't watch the show until much, much later.

Even Dr Horrible the woman dies horribly. I'm not sure it would work any other way, however. It's supposed to be a tragedy after all. But still.

I have never seen his photos from front before. Holy fuck, those shoulders are broader than an industrial refrigerator.

I can try to imagine the "immense joys and sorrows" of being a furry too, but it doesn't mean they're actually wolves on the inside.

@Accept Only Substitutes, As dumb as the Marvel movies can be, I liked Black Widow as a character, and taking her and making the her damage "I can't be a mommy", when before that point it was all about regret for the people she's killed, was pretty unforgivable. The women dying on supernatural had a lot more to do with the legions of insane fans that wanted the brothers to bone. They did not respond well to potential love interests being introduced.

I agree on both counts. Black Widow was awesome. I hated the way they treated her throughout the whole series; killing her off in the end like that, not giving her her own movie until after Endgame (but what they did give her was great), the whole mommy thing, all of it.

The Supernatural fans are fuck heads, let the boys be happy FFS. But no, they had to kill off their *lesbian* adopted sister and their *mother fucking twice*. WTF? I love the show, but refuse to be part of the insane fandom.

You can really tell he's a man here. Zero boobs, a dorito torso, and a total man face. The long hair in his head shots the media uses for articles helps feminize his face a lot. He still looks male, of course, but it's believable that he's a trans woman. Here he looks like a man in a woman's suit.

Wheeew boy, reddit is being unusually based tonight.

apparently that FTM also thinks she is being followed by the literal devil. But, you know, otherwise all is well.

Hollywood is incapable of coming up with any sad backstory for a female character that isn't 'I can't make babbies'. Apparently even serial killing superspies have nothing else to worry about than their maternal instinct. Just once I would like to see a female character who for some reason or other is infertile and just shrugs and goes 'cool, wasn't planning on having kids anyway' and her life continues. Even the most insufferable wannabe-breeders in real life don't make so much of a constant fuss about it if they had their uterus yanked.

It's been a while since I saw that movie, but I remember at the time thinking people missed the context and were just looking for an excuse to bitch about devaluing women.

The gang were both hanging out with Hawkeye's safely-civilian kids. Bruce Banner was moping to her that it wouldn't work out in the long term because of the Hulk thing possibly being genetic so he was ethically doooomed to not reproduce.

Black Widow replied "yeah, cool story about your infertility, let me set up a flashback about what happened to me during the Cold War."

(Or not-Cold War; I dunno if she has the bootleg serum in this universe. Evil Russians.)

And most troons are just total degenerate trash with cum for brains. They're useless to society and just a huge burden. They're unsafe to be around and mentally insane. If seeing them for how they almost always are is "hateful", then yes I do hate them.
I tend to distinguish between the degenerate coomers getting off on forcing others to participate in their vile fetishes and someone just going through their life. This type of pervert is also inclined to repeated spastic "IT'S MAAAAAAA'AAAAAAM!" trantrums as they careen from one histrionic fit to the next. It's impossible to imagine interacting with those freaks without incessant drama.

They sure do love to pull from this particular well, but the Caster Semenya decision was the right one.
Caster doesn't even have complete CAIS, he should never have been allowed to compete with the women. Most comprehensive source here about his biography and the conditions around him that enabled this.
Poor boy who could run somewhat faster than most and then gladly took the hand the SA sports officials extended to him. His whole participation in any international sports event is part of a con. He was running with the boys when he was a child, his teachers used male pronouns for him, he played like a boy and even went through an icky girls phase.
40 years before Caster, there was a skier who was diagnosed with the same. Caster was put on a cringy PR campaign and everyone cried he was a real woman:
casterInDrag.jpg

The skier from 40 years ago? He was stripped of his medals, decided to undergo surgery to "pull out his buried penis", changed his name from Erika to Erik and became a ski instructor when he was prevented from participating with the men.
And even men with complete CAIS still have the advantage of male pelvis positioning, male extremities proportions, male response times, male spacial perception and male muscles, like Maria Rodriguez Patino. I really feel for these people as individuals. But they aren't women. They are men with some funky DNA. And women who have higher testosterone and have no issues from it shouldn't be made to lower it.
@Marvin And people with actual CAIS like Dalea Rundblad or other intersex conditions can be women or whatever. The mentioned athletes aren't.
Jazz Jenning's brother has a heartwarming message and a helpful reminder for @Null, Bardfinn and all the other hard working internet moderators.

Here's the post that people found in her history: reddit , reveddit , archive

So my boyfriend recently proposed to me, and of course I said yes, but I’ve also recently come to the conclusion that I’m trans (FTM) and am not sure how to approach the subject of me medically transitioning with him for fear that he won’t want to continue the relationship. He’s told me before that he wouldn’t be able to date me if I medically transitioned because he would see me as a man at that point and he’s straight. I previously identified as non-binary and presented fairly fem, and he was comfortable with that, but I just don’t know what to do. Any help?
Of course all the helpful "maybe don't do this" comments got deleted:
