Feedback Technical Grievances

For the longest time now, embedded videos barely load if not stop loading completely several seconds in. This is not an issue with my internet connection, as I can stream HD video without hitches on other sites. All other parts of the site are loading fine. Null mentioned that XenForo has problems handling multimedia, so I imagine this may be the cause.

This is probably my only significant technical issue with the site. It makes following streaming lolcows incredibly difficult. I've had to reload a page a dozen times while skipping forward to finish a 5 minute video. These days when I see a video more than 10 minutes I mainly give up and hope the description of what happened was good enough. I've missed lots of laughs and content, I'm sure.

If there's anything I'd want to be fixed it's this. It was happening before some of the time, but now it's relentless across all devices and connections.

I hope a fix is possible.

can't edit any of my posts. i know it was a joke at my expense when it started but its rather annoying. and i have no real qualm about forcing the mods to compress my double posts if it doesn't change by this time next week

Yup, I stopped getting alerts for about 20 threads, so I had quite a few tabs open trying to catch up. It doesn't help that the indicator there have been new posts on the "Watched Threads" page is practically invisible.

In my experience, if you have a thread open and someone posts something new and you don't see, you'll stop getting notifications for that thread. The prompt "There are more posts to display. View them?" seldom works either.
Make sure to always reload the page before leaving the thread.

I seem to have lost the sticker buttons, on all posts, sometime in late December. Tried with mobile, desktop, various browsers, logging off/in, etc, no luck. Kept thinking it was temporary but they’ve been missing for a month. Maybe something to do with me being a postless lurker? Or maybe I am retarded, who knows. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello, so for a couple weeks, when I view a thread, use my stickers, sometimes I use the back button to get back to the forum threads lists, like lolcows or BP or whatever. But when I do this, the posts that I just stickered lose their stickers. I've never had this problem using the back button to get back to the thread lists, just wondering if it's me? kindof annoying but now after I like stuff in a thread, i just go back up to the top and hit Lolcows or BP directly to take me back to the list so i don't lose them.

i know, stickers are dumb and i shouldn't care, and i guess technically i don't? I just think it's a weird thing that I should probably bring to someone's attention. it's been happening for a week, that i've noticed at least.

so not a real technical grievance and being that stickers are made up and the points don't matter I don't wana bother anyone about them, so disregard if this post is pointless to address in the scheme of real agricultural problems on the farms.

If you refresh the page, do the stickers reappear? The back button could just be giving you a cached version of the page.

So I've tried this refreshing thing for a week and I am still having the same problem. Even if I refresh before or after hitting the back button, sticker is lost and I have to resticker. I usually notice it when I come back to the thread later to see newer or updated posts and then notice the last one wasn't stickered. I've even checked my history posts to see if I in fact stickered it and it was showing up or not.

I know jersh gets mad when people complain about stickers and i've always laughed at those poeple (wth is a reaction score? who cares? we're not redditfags, christ) so I'm not looking to become one or anything, just breinging it to attention of whoever in case it's not just me
