There was a post almost every minute leading up to the locked announcement, looks like some sweaty faggot mod is a Biden dickrider and wanted it gone before it blew up again like it did during the Afghanistan disaster.

Very cool, very impartial.

Conspiracy theory: Ride was hacked after months of inactivity. Not a word before this event for months and not a word has been said after. Logical conclusion, a butthurt leftist somehow got into his dead account and baleeted the Biden thread to own the cons. Or something.

Now, technically that is true, as a thread gets more posts in it the database takes a bit longer to retrieve the posts for a given page due to sorting and so on. However, I have trouble imagining there was an appreciable load time difference.

That makes sense, but it's easy to misinterpret "slow" in this case as "inactive" especially with tensions being as high as they are and spergs being spergs, the fact the mod didn't clarify when they typed it out makes it worse.

I mean, it is worth noting that this whole thing came up after the NYC sperg had to get 5 pages worth of posts split off.

Splitting threads is actually not that easy. Depending on how the software does it you might have to make a new thread for every page you want split out and then merge it all together.

I said the same about Keith Olbermann. They've tanked any shot at mainstream popularity, but they still have enough of a following to make a living off of it.
