I wonder if there are any international kiwis who could chime in with their feelings about the potential of a new war with either china or Russia, that would be spearheaded by a US led by Biden.

As an American who has been seething with rage since watching the cascade of fuckups in Afghanistan I can't even begin to imagine not even being an American and knowing that the geriatric moron the Americans "elected" this cycle might get someone I love killed by sheer incompetence.

Sometimes I notice a troon thread but then it's gone and I've learned that that's because it's been merged into some troon Megathread. I assumed that meant troons just troon shit up so much that if they weren't contained in one thread, they'd bury all the other content.

I kind of assumed that all the other Megathreads followed that logic - they exist because if they didn't, every thread in this subforum would look the same.

I didn't see the original JB Megathread close, but it sounds like people were told to make individual threads again? That just sounds weird considering my assumption about what a Megathread is.

IIRC once it was clear he won the primary in 2020 there was just a shitton of articles about him and HK-47 merged them all into the old megathread, which slowly just turned into a US Politics general.

@It's HK-47 started the original. (His OP featured a pretty clever gif of Biden which turned ghoulish randomly.) Ostensibly it's to collect articles about Biden's campaign in the run up to the 2020 election, since there was a flood of these each time he made a gaffe of some sort. For some months, he regularly merged individual threads into the old megathread.

I think it was only after the 2020 dust settled that everyone started to use the megathread as a one-stop Joe Biden news aggregator, and built a community around it. (Before that, it was the Election thread.)

I remember when we used to beat motherfuckers like that behind the POL shed.

You know, me and some of my family, all vets, were kind of talking about something after we heard about the crash of the F35.

Can you imagine going into a war with a near peer power with Biden, Milley, and the rest in charge?

Biden knows jack and shit about the military, he doesn't even really like them nor does he care to. Like a lot of older liberals, he mostly views the rank and file as Republican voters, drains on the economy and money better given to gibs programs, and gets pissed that they did something with their lives.

His handles and advisors are all dumb as shit motherfuckers who think if they hold their breath and wish really hard that reality will conform to what they want before they shit their pants.

All of the generals in charge of shit either have zero combat experience or are just showboaters.

Then you get into the BIG problem.

It's not very obvious, but it's there.

See, they've got National Guard, that's right, the Nasty Girlz themselves, in Poland.

Not Active Duty, which used to be the motherfuckers you'd see going there, but the NoGos.

So, why?

Well, number one, I know for a fact it's the Washington National Guard (I know right down to the company and platoons) and what part of WA they're from, which brings in some interesting questions.

Number two: moving Active Duty is actually a lot harder than moving NoGos. Foreign nations view the NoGos as the B or even C team. They know these guys aren't professionals, so they don't get as worried about them.

Number three: National Guard units, if your doing your intel on everyone, are pretty easy to figure out "Oh, he works at Wal-Mart when he's not doing his reserve duties. LOL" for foreign nations.

Then, well, we get into some real meat.

The Biden administration has NOT been keeping up with the refits, from my sources. Vehicles that need parts, weapons that need parts, allocating ammo and range time to units to get practice in, not allocating training funds.

Then, you get the morale section.

After any PERCEIVED loss, you need to get the morale back up and get it back up fast. You do this by training for the next war, not refighting the last one in training. You do this by supporting through refit and command shuffling the changes that need to be done.

Morale is apparently not doing good from my sources.

So we've got busted equipment, we've got training that's demoralizing (You, white guy who did 4 tours of Afghanistan, you're the problem with the military, not Specialist Shaneequa who never does any work and screams racism every time she doesn't get promotion waivers for time in grade and time in service), we've got manpower issues (the signup bonuses are unreal and they are STILL having problems with the numbers, especially in the Midwest and South where it used to be practically guaranteed), there's serious toxic leadership problems at the unit level.

Now, you have Sleepy Joe and White Rage Milley.

Now, add shit like that fucking furry, celebrating troons just because they're troons, seeing the witch hunts for white supremacists by people wearing LGBT insignia and BLM merch.

You've got problems.

Just my two cents on that part.

I agree about it being an echo chamber and admit to being a contributor to the echo, but when someone with different ideals actually just talks about it without shitting up the feed, this place is surprisingly adult in its converse. I am really tempted to ban everyone who decided to bitch about the other thread being locked when the reason for it was clearly stated. Instead of just accepting the fact that XenForo is shit and it can't handle threads that size without breaking, you all leaped onto some retarded conspiracy about politics.

Every day I get closer to just deleting the politics boards. This sort of brain damage doesn't exist anywhere else. Its your sandbox, chief. But to some of us, maybe because we're a bit jaded, politicians have been our lolcows long before we even knew what a lolcow was. And actual lolcows are just icing on the cake at this point. Different strokes for different folks. I would have to disagree about the "clearly stated" part, because from what I've seen, someone said the only clarification was in the paypiggy subforums.
