I spent more than 2 decades and the majority of my life in the United States. I've dealt with police on multiple occasions. They are absolute scum. The worst thing about Trump is he got all these people to start sucking cop cock because he started up with that faggy MUH LAW AND ORDER PREZUDENT.

And how demeaning to think that Europe has somehow infected me. When I lived in the Philippines I was flat out told to avoid men dressed in black uniforms because they were the Federal Police and they only exist to shake down tourists for bribe money. So my opinions are not just positively influenced by my outside experience.

I have always hated the police. The US police force is almost universally poorly educated, poorly trained, and up their own ass. They do not deserve respect. I would not want to know any personally. I would not allow a police officer I knew from personal circumstances in my home.

I was very anti-monkey but I listened to the entire fucking trial and by the end of it I was actually convinced he met the statutes for murder 2. Did him pinning the guy to the ground kill him? Yeah probably. Did he give a fuck if doing so would kill George? Not at all. Even his cop buddies were like "uh he's suddenly really quiet maybe we should check his pulse" and Cop Man (Good) was like "NAH fuck that". Like if he had been like "oh yeah let me check" I wouldn't be able to say he was reckless but he totally did not give a fuck.

I remember early on an ex cop who has a private security company now was on right wing shows and he made it pretty clear they're trained to handle cases like Floyd so that if someone is ODing or whatever they hold them in a different position to keep them from dying. I think seeing the totalitarian Covid response in anglo and euro countries has disabused many on the right of that sentiment, but maybe I'm projecting my hopes too much there.

It's a chore to go to the DMV, but I wouldn't say I'm mad about it. The vast majority of encounters anyone has with American police, while not enjoyable, will go fine. These viral videos on the internet are a small number of cases and gain the attention they do in the first place precisely because they are rare events.
