The earlier episodes of the kumite when Jim first started showing up were actually pretty good, there was a focus on trying to start drama and screaming matches, it was a very low IQ but entertaining show. probably my favorite episode of any IBS show was the Jim vs. Ross show where Ross is obviously loaded up on drugs and keeps his cool while metokur loses his cool and starts yelling at him to no effect.
I want him to live forever and remain relevant enough to be entertaining. After learning about this idiot Mersh character, that looks to be the most promising story arc at present

I don't recall him doing so, most of his coofstreaming was when it was mostly just a China thing. He was pretty adamant on 'we're fucked if this gets here' and might have supported Chink travel bans but that's most of what I remember.

I’d say it has something to do with how society notices it manifest. It’s a personality disorder that doesn’t care what reality is and it’s really obvious in people that look unfortunate like Ralph. Most good looking people are just considered conceited or self-interested.
Jail's usually good for getting someone off drugs/alcohol and losing weight but to come out a person changed for the better, you have to have a certain mental and emotional fortitude that Ralph doesn't have. Being around a bunch of shitty people, many of whom will want to jump or fight you for small, perceived slights keeps someone on edge. It can really put someone's brain in a mode of constant conflict and fight/flight. A lot of the low class people in there (of all races) operate on the same "yew offended mah 'oner" system that Ralph does, so I think it's just as likely to make him double down on that after he got out.
I seem to remember him being for a short term lockdown early on to stop the spread. I think his reasoning was that cutting it off early would prevent more long term lockdowns and problems.
I suggest "ralphed" as the verb for getting as anally annihilated as Ethan. As in "wow that dude in American History X just got totally ralphed by Ed Norton." Or for that matter, "holy shit, Ed Norton just got totally ralphed by his Nazi buddies."
While you are 100% correct about Ralph I think what causes him the most pain and anguish is his lost e-fame. He can pretend and front he’s still Kang with five star days but that little viewer count and his income stream can’t be denied. It absolutely kills him that he’s sinking lower every day in stats and his glory days are long, long gone. Twisting the knife is his blood enemies doing far better streaming than him.
