There was a time (at least in Ontario) when the left was not synonymous with Trannies and limp-wristed bugmen. They were Steel-Workers, Loggers and other hardened sorts. The left now is just intersectional feminism, astro-turfed by TPTB to subsume an effective tactic and render it neuter.Fuck, the programming-shattering is cathartic. I'll recommend reading this full thread and all its drivel, because I find it quite enjoyable to read the realization slowly begin to dawn on this lefty that her entire worldview is wrong, only for her to stamp down any doubt in the comments by refusing to believe "labour" isn't pro-left anymore. Here's a teaser:

Also, is schadenfreude the appropriate term? I'm not entirely sure.

Things have obviously changed, but my left is not Morgane Oger, my left is George Orwell.
George Orwell said:"All the papers that matter live off their advertisements, and the advertisers exercise an indirect censorship over news."
“Poverty frees them from ordinary standards of behaviour, just as money frees people from work.”
“A plongeur is a slave, and a wasted slave, doing stupid and largely unnecessary work. He is kept at work, ultimately, because of a vague feeling that he would be dangerous if he had leisure. And educated people, who should be on his side, acquiesce in the process, because they know nothing about him and consequently are afraid of him.”
That reminded me of this documentary about a pawnshop in rugged area of Edmonton. Probably most Canadians in the thread have seen it, but it is an interesting peek into a certain flavor of urban living. This might help give you an idea of Winnipeg's particular urban flavor:
It'd be hard to imagine a film made like this today. Old jewish man scamming homeless drunken indians for nickles and dimes so they can buy booze and tubes of glue. In like the very scene he's arguing with a toothless native over $3 bucks, in a very dehumanizing manner lmao.
There are a lot of Mexicans migrants who got stuck in my area for 2 years, couldn't get home to their (sometimes dying) families. They spent two years locked in shitty little bunkhouses like fucking convicts.Mexico could also have a very peaceful protest and things go well. I can tell you that in Texas alot of Mexican and Texan drivers will regularly go from places like Reynosa and Monterrey to as far north as Canada on some of their runs. Plus their rules on covid have been about the same as Texas. Large cities will hassle you but small towns it's as if COVID never happened. Maybe the local ER gets overwhelmed once every season but a few extra shifts at the local hospital and it's all back to normal.
But if there is anything it's the cartel violence and violent crime that would be more of a concern.
But I would could easily see Texas national guard basically winning over the local CBP and it's back to normal.
They and the farmers (many who own their own semi's as well) already protested here twice in the last two years with a similar but smaller strategy.
