Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

Depends on where you live because it can save you a ton of time dealing with traffic. I live in a city with two light rail lines: one is small and connects the two major transportation hubs and the other connects downtown to the suburbs. The issue with them is the fact that there tends to be a substantial amount of waiting time between trains, so if you miss one you're shit outta luck for the next 10-20 minutes, if not longer. They're also slower than buses too so I personally use them if I'm not in a rush, which is the exact opposite of what you want your tax dollars to be going to.
I understand all of that, but Ottawa already had dedicated transit roads for long hauls and to bypass traffic, like I said. They could have just expanded on their already perfectly serviceable roads and spared the LRT debacle.

Will mass arresting the convoy really be a PR nightmare though?

These actions are all explainable when you realize that the people in useless positions all believe they have an ironclad control of the narrative. And to be perfectly fair, they have a fairly stable grip on a sizeable portion of individuals who try not to think much about what goes on around them.

I talked to my grandma tonight. She’s 89, mostly with it, and has been locked down in the nursing home for most of the last two years. We bust her out whenever we can but I haven’t seen her as much as I’d like. She was heartbroken that none of her kids got the jab, especially when some of them started losing jobs.

I consider her a complete normie, she’s never been on the internet and only watches TV.

Someone is feeding the old people samizdat, she called me fired up about the truckers and crying with hope that we could get our lives back.

The only people who have the fortitude for this are the truckers and other blue collar people and I pray they can withstand what is coming. I will do anything I can to support them.
If there's any hope, it lies with the proles..

Don’t cut yourself on that edge, buddy. Indiscriminately killing government employees and their families is incredibly bad for optics, to put it nicely.

Mass destruction and violence in response to an injustice is for subhumans. (see: BLM, Rodney King riots, etc.)
The Tree of Liberty must be watered, from time to time.

"Violence is never the answer". Tell that to the Founding Fathers.

Never underestimate what the Ottawa mayor will do for a photo-op, even if it costs the taxpayers billions.

Canadians are generally sheep but most Canadians do not know the law.

For all those in Ontario, here you go:

If cops start asking questions and you are on foot, if they ask for ID, you immediately ask "Am I being detained or under arrest?" If no to both, refuse engagement. If yes, show ID and shut your fucking mouth.

Edit: A bit more detail. They can do street checks. You must provide ID but they MUST provide a receipt for a street check. You do not need to answer any other questions.

Cops trying that are expecting ignorant people unaware of the law.
Keep in mind that all of this started with violations of the constitution. Why would the government stop now?

The "we should preemptively attack fed families because they'd kill ours" logic is dangerously similar to Islamic shithole "You raped my sister so as punishment I'll rape yours and then we'll stone them both" logic.
I never said anyone should attack anyone else. All I said was that I'm not upset a bunch of bureaucrats got what they deserved. The daycare shouldn't have been such an easy target.

Cause the Canadian Constitution is, generally speaking, not worth the paper it’s written on?
No, it is. As I've said elsewhere, while the Notwithstanding Clause is an issue, not a single COVID policy implemented has ever been realized using it. Everything has been done via Public Health Order, which can't be used as a bypass. Public Health Orders are like laws and are supposed to be evidence based and are supposed to target people with confirmed medical conditions that are a threat to the public, not used as a blanket that assumes that everyone is sick until proven otherwise.

Yeah, but given the way Trudy has pushed his emergency powers to do anything he wants, it wouldn't surprise me to see him try something like this. I mean, at one point police would stop you at the entrance of the Rideau Centre and ask you why you were going in and what you wanted to buy. I guess it depends on how serious things get. (trying not to doom)
That's a little different and falls under little-known provisions of the Criminal Code of Canada regarding rendering aid to the owner of private property. Rideau Centre is a privately owned shopping mall, not a public street.

Okay, but what do the men in black dresses say? If they don't agree with you I'm afraid that under the current system you're out of luck.
Technically, they haven't had the opportunity to do so. No COVID policies have been challenged in court in Canada. All we've had have been a bunch of family court rulings over vaccinating children.

I guess now we need to enshrine the presumption of wellness alongside the presumption of innocence to stop this shit happening again 🤔

Sadly, I can't track down the original source of that specific Tokyo video at the moment. I will say that Japan has dealt with anti-vaccine protests before (which you can easily Google), but I'd say they were pretty small.

I did manage to find another video which shows an anti-mandate protest in Tokyo, but this one was posted a mere day after the trucker's convoy started.

Even if I found out that buperac's Tokyo video didn't actually capture a protest against the mandate, I would still believe that anti-mandate protests were going on there. After all, it's difficult to argue that people outside the Americas are being completely passive about it.

Anyways, gotta snooze now. I'll end this with a vid of a convoy in New Zealand that showed up, like, a few hours ago. Foreign inspiration is def a real thing, and it makes me feel less ashamed about being a Leaf
