I feel like almost every creator that's worked for the big 3 (CN, Nick, Disney Channel) have gotten fucked over in some way. The ones whose shows got cancelled for no reason, cancelled because they weren't as popular as some other show, put in some garbage time slot, changed by execs to make them worse, or have episodes unaired/aired years later for no reason.

edit: That doesn't mean EE&E isn't a really good show or anything, just that his situation was not normal

Antonucci got ridiculously fucking lucky. CN was still in its early years and desperate for content, which is why they accepted his pitch almost immediately, on top of giving him full creative control AND the rights. Eh, TBH, I'm glad this one wasn't picked up. It feels like a mixture between Calvin & Hobbes and Family Dog, with a hint of SpongeBob for good measure. It feels too derivative. It is exquisitely animated, though, I will give it that.

Yeah, it feels pretty generic. It doesn't gelp that it's so chaotic and hectic that it can barely convey what the characters and setting are about.
One of the most memorable thing about E,E&E was how distinct the characters were, and the summer like, unrestrained atmosphere.

Fuuuck do I wish programs like Oh yeah cartoons! and What a cartoon were still around. Those were so cool!

Harmony in Dispair - Horrible tumblr protagonist (with a post explosion daffy duck sidekick) made by someone who can actually draw flanked by beautifully rendered barbarians.
Unravel - Can't tell from preview. Experimental.
Mouth Wash Madness - Like earthbound if it was made by twitter.
Scaredy Cat - Generic shoddily drawn modern cartoon.

Someone I know who knows Antonucci personally told me that Anontucci pitched it around to various places, but they all wanted different things about it. Disney wouldn't take it since it wasn't what they were looking for, Cartoon Network would pick it up if it was more like their 'current line-up'(e.g TTG) was 'out of the fucking question' from Antonucci, and Nick and Netflix had no interest in it.

Seriously, what is it with these friggin "creative" companies? They're more close minded and herdish than the most inbred bunch of rabbis in a New York Ghetto.

They're sticking their 'safe spaces' rather than trying something new. Its the reason why things like Simpsons or Spongebob haven't been put of their damn miseries yet.

One of the good people in the business to have the autism disorder(right next to Dav Pikley, the captain underpants creator). Its kind of sad to see this happen to someone like Max. Billy and Mandy was fun. I was looking forward to Dead Meat, which sadly bit the dust. To my surprise I never see happen to anyone. Max did give back the money to those who've funded the project when it wasn't going anywhere.
