Other than following the rules in jail, Chris had never wanted to follow any rules (thanks Borb). Chris' parents were more than okay to let Chris sit on his ass and interact with the trolls, so they never gave him any responsibilities. If Chris was ever in a group home scenario, he may not like it since he's used to doing things his own way (I doubt jail is teaching Chris about responsibilities). So he'll probably tard rage about how the home is oppressing* him, if they let Chris have access to the net or a pen and paper.

It's possible, since Chris already has available housing at 14BC, that they could fasttrack HSV approval for him to ensure he has a place to stay. This would only happen, however, if Barb is moved somewhere else.

The lender would likely have to agree to this as well, putting Chris' name on the mortgage next to or replacing Barb's. They would be more inclined to do this if Chris had a designated payee to manage his finances lest Chris spend everything on "some lego" instead.

Still, I don't see this happening. The lender would MUCH rather have Tom and Harriet, or Cole, or, really, anyone other than Chris take over management of 14BLC. None of them seem likely to let Chris back in, even if Barb isn't living there.

And Chris would not be able to maintain the property by himself, regardless.

No, if he is held in remand on a felony charge, he can stay in jail for years, until he is convicted. However he is currently jailed on a misdemeanor charge so the max is 1 year and then they have to let him go regardless if the case is still ongoing.

I’m not sure with current day Chris, if he was feeling particularly horny and had the opportunity to have sex with a minor I wouldn’t trust him not to do it, thankfully it seems extremely unlikely Chris will ever be in a position like that.

It depends on the group home. There are different homes and different rules for different types of sped. There are group homes for people who are physically disabled but completely mentally competent, and they don't have any rules beyond the general and obvious: pick up after yourself etc. Then there are the home for super speds where they also don't have rules but instead each resident has a 24 / 7 manager to keep them constantly in line (Chris probably can't afford one of those placements).

The courts are legally obligated to find a placement for Chris. Unless Virginia is VERY different from other states, whatever group home the court finds for him is under no such obligation to keep him.
