I feel like this is a chicken and the egg type scenario, really. Westerners can clearly stand watching the JP Girls for two reasons. One, there's more viewers so it's more likely to have a translator to tell us what's going on. And two, I'm sure it's simply some variant of the women are wonderful effect. We're more likely (especially as majority men watching) to put up with cute girls doing cute things when we have no idea what's going on, vs what guys are doing.

On top of that, we clearly are fine with penis havers hanging out with our pure maidens as demonstrated by Niji-EN. So really, all that remains is purely the cultural side that JP harbors with their viewers and attitudes towards idols and such.

I think it's pretty easy for us, the culture that has less unicorns/gachikoi, to look over at them and say "Man, Holostars were done fucking dirty". But I also think in our case, we want to see an actual English branch of Holostars to show the JP how it's done. I think it'd be a smashing success if it wasn't segregated in the same way JP Holostars is.

If you don't think that after a year of being home and back in contact with her Cosplay friend/professional network, she doesn't already have that chicken outfit made you're delusional. For gods sake, she has the gloves that already look like her outfits sleeves. There's no way she hasn't fully committed already. We'll never see it though, Keeki herself is never allowed to talk about Kiara contractually or draw any direct connection, or similar to that effect. DD mentioned it on the rl stream. So literally dressing up as that character in public would be a breach of her connecting it. She'd literally be saying "HEY! IT'S ME!".
