The Ambassador bridge is an even bigger problem because neither the US nor Canadian governments own it. It is privately owned by the heirs of a giant asshole of a billionaire from Gross Pointe. Should there be any damage to the road surface or or the structure in a removal effort, the government will be liable for those costs. And if the bridge has to close for repairs might even have to pay loss of income.

The military has mechanics and truck drivers. They would just use them rather than go through all the bullshit of winching and craning Class 8 vehicles around.

The people Viva is interviewing is tough. Women sincerely crying is always tough, and when they talk about losing their jobs or being denied ability to see their family, it makes the anger inside harden. There's a woman right now talking about how she has nothing to lose anymore, her two 30 something sons died from fentanyl overdose because they lost their jobs and the things that made them be in recovery and find a purpose, and then Canada even banned people using methodone or another drug used to help wean people off of opioids.
