I've never had to show proof of my vaccinations for a job, or a school group, event, or community college. I only had to have certain shots for university, which I suppose is more expected because they have more international students and students overall. I can only take a small bit of joy in the fact the Alberta reddit page is, what, 161k people? Less than the inner city of Edmonton? So, really, this is a small, basement (fringe) minority of losers screaming into an echo chamber while the rest of us get back to life.

Which, while I went to town today, I saw a truck driving with Canadian flags hanging off it and it honestly made me feel pretty joyful to see the support still going, even if you can't be there. Some houses on the backroads have a couple crisp, new Canada flags waving about too.

That's the issue, right up to MPs citing a handful of emails and twitter comments in Parliament. ALL internet userbases are just tiny hugboxes that represent small fringe minorities.

I have mixed feelings about the "private businesses vaxxpass" thing because whatever happens regarding that also affects "my bakery shouldn't be forced to make gay child drag queen gender wedding cakes."

I remember there being some kind of restaurant in California years ago that instituted a tax on male patrons in order to smash the paderchocky. It closed. This could be incredibly naïve, and I don't like anybody doing it, but I think the majority of businesses most likely to have vaxxpasses are also the type that do shit like that or sell overpriced organic craft beer to soy millennials in gentrified buildings.
