General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Merryweather accepts Pippa's apology for not liking him or his art at first.

"oh Vee is here too, cool"

ehh id argue that sperging in particular wasnt entirely about penis being close to talent, more about what Cannur had said previously and the game of telephone that ended with Calli being on lean and tweeting

That being said both /vt/ schizos and twitter yuri trannies would seethe about that tho
It's more along the lines of gatekeeping and preventing some truly obnoxious anitubers (and their fanbases but only idiots would believe that train can still be stopped) from gaining access to hololive. Something that Mori - in what was possibly only an attempt to "own" her detractors - kind of validated by lashing out or her attempt to force a collab with Ironmouse on IRyS and rrat (reminder that IronMouse is a close associate of Connor AND a member of vshoujo - which is largely held in contempt over there as the pinnacle of western cancer even if Ironmouse is usually considered to be one of the two least bad members of the group), whether that actually was her original goal or not.

The lack of understanding and strawmanning everyone involved as mere unicorns is what makes this situation the most amusing to watch: unicorns are present on the board but are usually mocked so it's seen as doubly insulting to be compared to them. In this sense, Mori won. In the other sense, it's an open season on local deadbeats because she provided anon with a justification to call them cucks :story: But the joke is already becoming stale because of the amount of Mori thread spam.

It's of note that preventing filthy ironic weeb westerners with normalfag tastes casual mainstream anime fans from discovering vtubers was also one of the arguments /jp/ anons use against ALL English-speaking chubas, which eventually led to creation of /vt/. There is a long standing precedent to that.

I mean, it's a bit like why people want to watch Gura play Bully even though Pikamee already played it like a year ago. If we go by "why do you want x when a similar thing already exists?" then most vtubers and their content wouldn't have a reason to exist. For people who enjoy interactions like Conner x Ironmouse and those found in NijiEN, Holostars EN has the potential to lead to even more of those kinds of interactions, plus with the Hololive tinge that a lot of people like.
Hololive was never about male interactions and heterosexual shipping though and it actually evolved to separate the genders more with time and that's how they became popular. It feels like some people are not really hololive fans but just want to push some sort of agenda on them since it's arguably the biggest agency atm and don't care about negative consequences, you can't cater to every audience (niji females are in decline or stagnating since males started to rise for a reason).

If Stars EN is even seriously considered they're probably looking for male Holostars fans that first and foremost want to be bros with Roberu senpai and the gang, male idols so to say that would respect the boundaries with holomem rather than acting as unofficial male gen -management would not allow that for many reasons.

I don't understand why this Holostars collab discussion time loop has to continue

* Hololive can collab with penis havers. They can even collab with Holostars if they want to. They choose not to because they just don't want to. It doesn't even have anything to do with idols in particular. You don't have to be a unicorn to tune out when you hear some guy you don't know's nerd voice on stream when you subscribed specifically for cute anime girl shit. You don't have to be an idol to realize these types of collabs are at least a -25% debuff in views (see: FOXDEMON collab views).

* Holostar fujoshi would burn their houses down if they saw them flirting with a uterus haver on stream.

It is actually that simple. There is nothing more to it. The incentives don't line up for either party. The people who constantly push for this are clearly not Holostars fans.

Except talents like Rushia and Pekora have stated they will never collab with men because they are "IDORU" and their fans have certain expectations on them

And talents like Miko and Subaru have stated they will attempt to not collab with men as much as possible because they will embody the Idol experience from this point forwards

Non idols avoid opposite gender collabs just as much for similar reasons. Pinning it on "idol culture" is ignoring the counter examples of idols that don't have an issue with it and non idols that do. The phrase "idol culture" gets misappropriated in the west to refer to unicorns but the average holo viewer holds similar sentiments; they'll just silently tune out and watch something else instead of seetheposting on 2ch about it.

I was waiting for it to be out for me to listen and now it seems Daydream is out for Pst and those ahead of them https://cover.lnk.to/Daydream

Just listened. Favorited. Breathtakingly gorgeous singing, wonderful meld of English and Japanese, terrific lyrics, and amazing instrumental. Fantastic song all around.
I don't need to repeat my song thoughts.
As for the MV. Simple yet cool, stellar art, and some of lyrics were showcased in creative ways.

A 20's style racist with a 20's style understanding of cancelation.
This personally feels like grifters trying to get into Pippa's good side since she's the hot new thing ever since her Ralph stream

Thank god Pippa is a social autist or she would have immediately jumped at the opportunity to collab with these people.
And that she has management there to remind her she's part of a business.

I don't think there's any evidence that mixed-gender collabs would improve subscriber counts for the guy. Many top youtubers operate either solo, or in a relatively segregated manner. The idea that "big number help small number" only applies if the disparity is much larger, but they already receive plenty of attention courtesy of being associated with Hololive.

Anyone with their head screwed on right doesn't want to bring real relationships, and the drama that it entails, into what is essentially their job. And most people don't want to watch a fake relationship either. Good streamers who aren't hornybaiting or dramabaiting would rather just hang out with their bros and do wacky stuff, it works better that way.
It focuses on her face a lot. Perfectly on-brand for Kronii really.
