Pretty much as Rebel Wilson says, Kenney became Premier because he wasn't Notley and the Conservative wing united (instead of broken into PC and Wildrose) just overwhelms the left leaning city vote. I'm still dubious about Kenney actually losing his position in April given all the bureaucratic fuckery, but the longer these protests continue and screw with things, the more Kenney cannot pivot to what he really wants to talk about - i.e. rising oil prices and Alberta's imminent return to the black - the more likely he gets thrown out. It’s also super illegal ( I think) and there’s illegitimate dangers to a bunch of random operating that sort of shit stationary trucks don’t have. But if we were to take the hypothetical seriously, the best method is to attach a small speaker to a drone, then play goose honks at max volume on loop as it zooms around making people cat’s shit themselves. No huge hurdle to acquire, gets the job done, and not illegal or high matinence. Maybe even have a few with the Canadian national anthem playing. Spice it up a little.

Yeah logistics is incredibly easy to disrupt. A handful of drones can shut down an airport (happened in London a few years back) and a few strategically placed trucks can shut down a border crossing. When all your stuff comes from the US by truck or chinkistan by plane it doesn't take much to make it all go sideways.

Is this why any white collar job I've had has absolutely no discipline and my bosses refuse to be critical? I worked trades and labour for a long time prior to the pandemic and holy fuck, white collar workers are ultra-sensitive. Blue collar guys will yell at you for shitty work or work ethic and then carry on, and that's valid and acceptable. Sometimes guys are too into their own ass and it's excessive, but at least he had the balls to tell me how he really feels. White collar employers view accountability as harassment it would seem, and are totally afraid of hurting the cobbled-together egos of sensitive people that can't regulate emotions and criticism.

One of the things I used to do at work pre-pandemic was if somebody screwed up, and I mean badly, is I would drive to their office. Set the brakes. Put out cones. Then go inside and try to find them personally.

I wouldn't yell. I wouldn't cuss. I wouldn't do anything mean or nasty. I was always a perfect gentleman. I would simply find them or their boss and have things corrected in person. It is the fastest and most direct way to fix things that cannot be ignored.

I have made people cry doing this.

During my end-of-year performance assessment he even wrote up that I’d been very proactive in pursuing new work to do, lmao.

• Doug Ford stated back in the fall of 2021 that in March 2022 all restrictions (including mask mandates) would be dropped. He stated that Vaccine Passports would be dropped in January 2022
• Doug Ford was extremely slow in "re-opening" in 2021 to the point that the summer finished and he locked down again before the "re-opening" even finished. His justification for why they were being so slow? "To prevent ever having to regress and lockdown again". Ontario was placed into lockdown once again in January 2022 over pant-shitting over Omicron.
• Doug Ford has never kept his word, and is up for re-election this year. Polling numbers indicate that the retards that comprise the majority of Ontario citizens like the boot on their neck, and somehow he's polling well. This leaves those who hate Ford for his restrictions stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I don't want to be a blackpiller, honest. But these past 2 years in this hell province have me buck-broken to having whitepills for the outcome of Ontario. My pessimistic outlook is that vaccine mandates and mask mandates will never be dropped in this province unless the truckers start a literal revolution, and Ford would probably just hire mercs to shoot them down long before they got the chance.

I foresee these protests possibly bringing freedoms to saner provinces, but the only way Ontarians get to experience actual freedoms going forwards from now until forever is by escaping for saner lands.

I would love to be proven wrong, but I've personally spent the past year working my ass off to escape, because I personally don't have any hope for here. With the way things are, I will hopefully be living free in a US red state in 1 years time. Because even if Ontario somehow breaks free, the fundamental rot that allowed it to happen in the first place will still be there, and worsening. Unless you enjoy that sort of thing, the thing to do in this scenario is to come up with your own projects for what you think needs doing or might be useful, and then seek approval from your boss. Sometimes called "intrapreneurship" in corporate lingo. To make a pop culture reference, if you ever watched Mad Men, there's that bit where one of the characters comes up with the idea of a TV advertising department, and then pitches it to his boss with himself as the head. Nagging your boss for more work to do can be good up to a point, but doing it too often gets annoying to the boss, and might cause coworker resentment because you're making them look bad for not doing the same. Whereas coming up with your own shit to do and checking in with the boss for approval displays next level initiative and leadership, when you've otherwise run out of regular tasks. A big advantage if you're coming up with your own tasks is that you can design your own workday to always be doing things you like to do.
