I have a personal theory but I just want to see if I'm insane. I feel as though there's a significant portion that due to social media and stereotypes, they hate being their gender so much that they try to transition.

Take for example, the typical male that is very big into silly leftist identity politics. Particularly if they're white and middle class and higher. They are told through social media that all white people are essentially bad and if you are a white person, you have to actively perform in order to show their goodness. Copy and paste that with men and rich people. I feel as though due to the large brushes those people paint, these men are wracked with guilt and thus try to find ways they lack privilege. This is what causes them to attach identities to themselves. Nonbinary, demisexual, neurodivergent, etc. Eventually they may also want to attach trans as well.

It's different with women. For women, they simply hate being a woman due to stereotypes and things that they feel society makes them do, they simply say "I am not a woman. I am more than a woman. I am a man." This is essentially a "not like the other girls" mindset that is set into overdrive that they think they are so unlike the typical girl that they're a boy instead.

This isn't crazy right?
