I don't know if this guy classes as an SJW or not, but he works with me, at first I thought he was just a really big Corbynite, which is stupid, but not uncommon amongst Labour supporters. However, since the Paris attack he's been really ramping up the rhetoric that it was caused by bombing Syria, every problem is caused by the West and we should aim to open dialogues and arrest suicide bombers rather than shoot to kill. Today I just encountered an SJW who was trying to claim that economics was a a form of western imperialism because it advocated always selling something for more than you paid to get it* even if other people will die unless you get it and that in all other cultures people would sell it for less because the west is the only selfish culture. *(despite that thinking on the margins indicates that you should sell something for the best price you will be able to get rather than more than what you paid for it and loans and a reciprocal strategy in game theory and obtaining utility from assisting others)

So the roommate I mentioned a couple times previously in this thread recently decided he was trans. Supposedly his justification for it is because he has some stereotypically feminine personality traits/interests and hates having body hair.

Given his long track record of jumping on whatever socio-political bandwagon is popular (especially if its on the left) for a year of two max, I give the trans thing six months to a year before he recants and moves on to something else.

Another friends suggested I introduce him to the concept of otherkin to see if be jumps that bandwagon as well.

Ha ha, funny, poking a joke at the people who think the hero's name is Zelda. Saw it come up in a gaming community frequented mainly by dudes. Crude humor comes up there a lot, no one gets talked to over it unless it's actually really offensive or contains nudity. This comic doesn't, it's just a throw away strip with awful art.

So I looked at the comments and spied this:

The entire comment string is this person 'educating' people who are telling him it's a joke and to ease up. This is the last community I expect to find a SJW in, don't forsee him lasting long.

One of the things they want him to acknowledge is that the library "exploits and appropriates indigenous art" because there are Native crafts as art pieces in there.

The idea is that whenever someone is uncomfortable with the subject our group is discussing, they call out the safe word and we change the subject to something less problematic. It was done pretty reluctantly on the part of most of us, but M insisted it was really important so everyone will be comfortable.
