Plagued /vt/ and related vtuber lunacy - Touhou brony console wars

Maybe it's :optimistic: but I do hope this little event will help Japanese nerds to realize that this idea of the virginal seiso idol isn't realistic or healthy, either for the fan or the idol.
You are right...but then again...nip nerds...

Romance and sexuality are important part of the human experience.
Yeah...but not for nip tards and their gross idol "culture".

Similarly it's just not healthy for the fans to have their own experiences of those things connected to something which isn't real and never will be.
Yeah...but autists don't get that.

If these people were interested in the truth they wouldn't be braindead idiots who pretend cartoon drawings are real.

I was looking up info on the VT fandom a few days ago since I don't know much. Then today I'm checking my facebook messages and this pops up.

Youtube pushes them hard too, because VTs are corporate dreams. Like E-thots they can manage to draw in crowds of people with very little self control, no families, and empty lives (meaning they have nothing else to spend their money on) without ever needing to say or do anything that anyone could point at as controversial, which is why they're bland. All they have to do is wear the anime girl skin, use the anime girl voice, and exist.
Unlike E-thots though, they don't actually have to be attractive and they don't age out, meaning companies are free to select women they can maintain as property and replace easily.

Vtubers are genuinely dystopian. It's like watching a horse breeder spray pheromones all over a collection stand then leading the horse in to pathetically hump it; it's a cold joyless process that seems almost purpose built to be as humiliating to the lower species as possible.

If your life is that much of a hopeless disgrace, just cut the shit and take up shooting heroin instead. It'll be way more dignified, you'll get a lot more for your money, and you'll probably even meet women who are about as attractive as those VTs actually are IRL. Plus it might kill you so you don't have to keep waffling on doing it yourself.

Maybe it's :optimistic: but I do hope this little event will help Japanese nerds to realize that this idea of the virginal seiso idol isn't realistic or healthy, either for the fan or the idol. Romance and sexuality are important part of the human experience. To insist that idols eschew them is to insist they reject part of their humanity. Similarly it's just not healthy for the fans to have their own experiences of those things connected to something which isn't real and never will be.
I have to assume they know on some level. Their behavior isn't based upon ignorance, it's based upon resignation and/or mental defect.

After all, people don't get involved in anime garbage to begin with unless they have something seriously wrong with them.

I mean they work for a corporation, this shit should be mandated top-down. Given how much they pull in in superchats, you couldn't possibly convince me that Cover couldn't afford to ship each of the girls a decent gaming rig to use as a work computer, and set up company emails, Discord accounts, etc. that can only be used for official business.
I'm sure it is mandated some way or other, but humans are humans and humans are lazy and want to do things like check for messages on their non-work Discord account really quick and then forget to log out rather than just logging in with some other device. It's quite likely she'll get in some degree of trouble for this, even though I think any sort of suspension or public statement on Cover's part would be a mistake.

I'm sure it is mandated some way or other, but humans are humans and humans are lazy
Well I’d assume you should be as careful as possible especially if your whole career is based upon an act that does not involve your own self in any way. If you can’t do that, then I legitimately do not feel bad. You should take as much baby steps as possible to protect your career, not be this reckless because you’re lazy.

Streamers in the West hold a position close to idols in Asia already. They are in parasocial relationships, the same way the idol fans are. It's just virtual. At least the streamers and VT can just imagine they are being followed by hotties. The real idols have to put up with them in person.

Only true by technicality. Hololive English Gen 1 did a convention tour in the last year where they had live Q & A sessions with their fans (conducted, I assume, by the Gen 1 girls having a live video feed of both the audience and the question panel), so the vtubers did, in fact, have to see their fans in person. Sort of.

Here's what I could find on each panel.

We have some updates on the Rushia situation. Mafumafu who was the man messaging Rushia on Discord has now made a tweet apologizing for the misunderstanding.
mafumafu tweet.png

With this in mind, we should start looking at the reactions on other places such as Reddit, 4chan, Twitter, and even Yahoo.
On Reddit, people have made threads, but in typical Reddit fashion, the tranny jannies locked the threads and deleted the OP, but these were primarily focused on Rushia fans being butthurt about the situation.

In 4chan, people are losing their minds over this, whether ironically or not is up for debate knowing that some of them are truly faggots.

Some interesting news has surfaced too from somebody who according to themselves, are in close relations with Mafu and says that the situation is not as it seems. Take this with a huge grain of salt since this is unconfirmed

With this in mind, we also have some fan reactions from Twitter, starting with her biggest Fandead who happens to be her donator, some crazed fans breaking their Rushia merch, some girl threatening to kill herself over finding out Mafu is talking to a girl, and some random Nip's opinion on the matter.

And of course, some fan art, because what better way to express emotion than this.

And surprisingly enough, this was that big of a story to warrant its own news article on Yahoo Japan.

On a whim I decided to look up the mafumafu guy and stumbled onto this tweet, which I thought was from recent events, but turned out to be from 3.5 years ago:

Not that it means anything as I've not seen any of the purported evidence in either case, but I did find the coincidence chuckle-worthy.
For anyone who doesn't want to step in the vtuber thread, that situation nearly 4 years ago also involves Rushia before she got into Hololive.
Her old personal account was posting pics with the same tableware and furniture in the same apartment as mafumafu and his female fans went ballistic then.
Expanded image with more pics:
1644547482144.png
Mikenekodoro is her personal twitter.

Its pretty clear they have been seeing each other and living together for a long time and there is tons of cope from both fanbases that it isn't happening despite the evidence.
Hilarious how they both do girlfriend/boyfriend experience shit and both of their most recent merch is marriage themed with engagement rings.

edit: Here is the original twitter thread from 2018 featuring some of the pics. Apparently they even have matching his and hers bracelets, imagine trying to cope your way out of that. :story:

With all this Rushia drama going on too, it could genuinely kill her. Rushia has some sort of chronic illness where if she pushes herself too hard or doesn't get enough sleep she can have a stroke or possibly die, and obviously with all the drama surrounding her currently, it wouldn't be far off to assume she could have a stroke, or Allah forbid, die.

Of course, the likelihood is low, but anything is possible, and it wouldn't be far off to assume her risk has increased exponentially.

This is fucking insane. This isn't something Rushia or her boyfriend should ever have to fucking apologize for, but because of whatever weirdo moon logic Vtuber fans exist on, they feel entitled to make this woman and her boyfriend grovel for their forgiveness just because they have lives outside of being bobbing puppets.
As if Rushia or her bf are going to break up just because some otaku NEET faggots with too much money to burn got salty that they got a taste of the reality that the anime woman they spend every waking hour fantasizing about won't date them in real life.

That "fandead" who wasted 30k on her and is incensed about this should do a fucking flip. /vt/uber fags should be reminded every fucking day that their donations go towards buying condoms and birth control for their favorite idols to get railed by men they know and love irl.

VTuber's are fun to watch occasionally but they're just another brand of streamer at the end of the day. They have lives. People really need to remember that, and to go outside and interact with flesh and blood humans occasionally, or at least step away from the screen.

Viewers are just braindead retards who like to think they have some sort of relationship with the Vtuber, especially if they do some yandere shit. It is what it is I guess, it's Japan of all places so I'm not surprised how big this got over her probably dating someone, but neither do I feel too bad when all she needed to do was either turn notifications off or have some sort of 2nd personal account for everything regarding her actual self and people who she talks to outside of Vtubing.

Yeah idol culture is insane, like one idol shaved her head apologizing after dating another dude. Like they can't have lives outside of it.

That's what I wonder about though. Why are these people getting into these parasocial careers? Surely they know that it comes with insane obsessed creepy fans. Theres been heaps of stories in the news about it. At some point you have to say, "well this is what they wanted for themselves"
