I will never understand piercing the ears of a baby or small child. What purpose does that serve? How do earrings make a baby or small child "cuter" or "cooler" or prettier, which is usually the reason we get it done as teens? I had mine done at 13 and it was completely of my own volition, nobody forced me and I wasn't pressured by anyone. Now I don't even wear earrings anymore.

That's what it's like to be a person who believes the first thing they read and nothing further. It's being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn. It's avoiding the pain of being wrong because they take being wrong so personally. It's a carefully bound worldview constructed with marshmallows and pasta and even one piece being fractured threatens to collapse their entire perspective on life. Most people aren't ready for that. It makes sense to be a demented bugman, really. It must be comfortable to not only never lift a finger, but to never have to even think, research, draw your own conclusions, and make the best determination for yourself. Because determining what's best for yourself requires moral integrity and personal discipline, something which every bugman lacks and likely will never understand the value of.
