He still have no fucking clue about how YouTube works, he is stuck trying to replicate his initial rise to fame doing the definition of insanity.

Funny how the Day One Views thing was his shtick back in the day that he still incorporates it to his business plan, but is still so far as fuck from it.

Day one for him back then was playing it right when he could get his hands on it to be the guy who was reliable and the only one doing it. Spam those uploads all day so you always had something.

Now? He plays them the next day to even a month later. It's on a scheduled time where people have already beat it. No one is showing up to see the game anymore, or hardly him. Playing new release AAA boring open world shit one after another for 3 hour intervals is not good.

There is Pokemon, Skyrim, Horizon, and soon to be Elden. It's like reading four books at once, a chapter at a time, and then picking up a new one 2 hours later then repeating the process. No one can keep up with this.

there's something weird about that. i remember watching a video of DSP playing injustice 2, and he sucked ass at it. im surprised he didnt just use Death Stroke with the gun and spam it to win fights. you score a lot of easy wins doing it. he kept playing with swamp thing and atrocitus and losing.

Phil sucks ass at everything he ever does. He also needs excuses for his losses, even outside of of his usual lag and "I wasn't doing that". By not playing the "cheap" characters, he can then keep bitching about how cheap they are and how the people playing them are bad at the game. If he were to start playing a broken character he'd lose all credibility, especially if he were losing to known low tier characters.

Add on that even if he were to be there at the second any game launches, he would still be behind everyone. No one who's looking for pokemon is going to look to him when there are people who have been making guides and analysis before the games launched, with far more knowledge on how the franchise works. No one's going to look to him for elden when there will no doubt be people who will get access before and be able to give far greater insight. No one will even turn to him for SF, when the pros have turned to streaming and will be able to give far more informed thoughts (Phil can't tell the difference between netcode types) and aren't complete retards.

Unless he's willing to start shilling for companies and play games he knows he will hate while not able to completely shit on them (like he could back on twitch), he will always be behind the curve on the news cycle. He needs to stop begging retards for money and start begging companies to start giving him early copies of games to even hope of recreating his early success. But that's all he'll get, a hope because that would only put him at the start line at the same time instead of turning up just as the race has finished.

So much for rebranding and reforming his content, the neverending cycle of begging was just always there, he just used the removal of his shit King brand that it really has sunk his views and engagement rather than increase it

His Playstation 5 too is a lesson in ensuring you get the logistics of delivery and payment well before launch to get the console on day one rather than realize you used your PayPal account rather than your bank to charge...

Everything else is all down to decisions that will always hurt the business because of his bad gameplay, complaining, and scrub level skill and attitude to playing them, hell Pokemon like many others are for his wheelchairs

I would assume in a business you would investigate who buys your time/products/engagement otherwise who else can you target outside your core audience?

His "business degree" is not even worth the paper Phil claims to have it awarded on because he the work he puts in is the quality that is produced, and for 12 years it's a case of development hell, even Duke Nukem tried to salvage what they could but bombed

Like the post above, his loss of awareness and missing out on the times costs him dearly because of his greed and laziness, the ego just wont let him stop no matter what and no matter how, unless he is truly fucked from not earning, his life is a lie, his earnings are never earned, and the business as always is dying a gloriously slow death

Just a quick reminder that Phil bitched out Cyberpunk 2077 (and he was right to do so BTW) for not having anything to do in the open world.

Meanwhile the devs here have taken the time to make what looks like a nifty little mini game that might be fun. But it's not an action based bord game (what ever the fuck that is), it's a strategy game, Grunk have to think Grunk no like that. So he mocked it.

Phil's problem is that he gets that people come for games but has never grasped that they stay for the person playing the game. He doesn't get that he needs something to stand out, even if it is something like a degrading joke. Instead the most he has ever come up with is spend money for him to play dress the autistic. But that fails because it's saying that underneath there is nothing worth watching.

If updates weren't forced on him it would still be running the firmware it came with. He can't even be bothered to keep his office at a basic level of cleanliness.

Short answer: Phil is lazy. Long answer? Steven of The Dead brought up a good point. He said "(Phil) finds a playstyle he's comfortable with and he sticks with that playstyle, no matter if the game encourages experimentation, or how frustrating it is to his audience. He will grind out that playstyle until the end. He lacks any form of intellectual curiosity and is afraid to experiment."

There's PRIME examples, but the best example is Devil May Cry 1 - where the game ENCOURGES the player to try spells, combos, etc...what does Philly boy do? He finds ONE playstyle he's comfortable with, turning a game that has HIGH combos, spells, and encourages the player to experiment, to a third person shooter. Most players would adapt to different play styles and try something new, however, Phil finds ONE style he's comfortable with, sticks to that ONE style and rides that wave until the game is over.

He likes comfort and the familiar. When a game throws a challenge that REQUIRES the person to use a different playstyle, he FORCES that one playstyle he's comfortable with usually with brute force until he wins or wagequits.

Not just in games, but also in life and how he runs his business. Phil HATES change and he HATES trying new things. Even if he's FORCED to try something different, he wants to go back to how it USED to work. Again, there's TONS of examples of that and we can be here until the next century pulling example after example, but hopefully this is an adequate answer.
