There's something weird about his narration, it's almost like he just wants to recommend the series to you instead of wanting to discuss it.

I felt the same way with the Ghostbusters video, he just says a rather shallow summary of the movie with a couple of his opinions and nothing else. If you compare it with the Red Letter Media Ghostbusters video it's like night and day, i guess because RLM have more people to bounce off of.

But hey, he got me kind of curious about Cobra Kai so i guess he succeeded.

Remember, James has to take a long time to make these. Those camera angles take atleast 4 months to get. If you make him do more videos then his children will starve. You wouldn't wanna hurt James' kids would ya?

i dont think the OG gameboy can be capture carded. its analogue.
I think they could have used a super gameboy for the SNES and just captured the TV footage directly.

as far as I know, for GB that's what they've been doing, unless they've moved fully into emulation now since James isn't actually playing the games.

If you can make a 6 hour video on any subject on YouTube then I automatically will not watch just due to that.

I know people are complaining about TikTok and short videos, but goddamn ya think this is going in the opposite direction a bit too much?

That VHS tape’s episode was real good, but it devolved real quick to usual shilling, and lazy ideas.

Or you can just break it up into parts. There is an audience for people to listen and watch long form documentaries, but you need to know when to cut it.

If you are going to be autistic enough to do a six hour documentary you might as well just go all out. Cover each saga and take your time, but do it in separate videos taking no more than 3 hours at the absolute max.

Even then you might want to think about what can be cut or moved to another video altogether. If there is something interesting that you want to cover, but not relevant to the larger picture it can be moved to another video.

To be fair I looked at the page for that 6 hour Nerd doc and in the comments the guy who made it said that it's actually several different videos combined into one. I can't speak for its quality because I didn't watch it but he does seem to at least acknowledge that the length could be seen as overkill.
