The Super Best Friends Super Best Griefing Thread - Matt's a cuck, Liam is a bitch, Pat's a loony and Woolie's Way is now trademarked

oh btw last podcast Pat straight up said he's more or less done with fite gaems, fyi
I too am intrigued by this. I saw some vague tweets he made about SFV but no real information. Is it just that the games 6 years old now and he played for like 2 months at launch a week in 2019 and then again 3 years later so hes way out of his depth with the players left playing it?

I find it absolutely fascinating how Woolie has to do it his way. He has sleep apnea but won't get a cpap machine and will proceed to do various things that don't really work. This is increasing his chances of heart problems and may also be attributing to his high blood sugar. He's trying to lose weight but instead of simply decreasing his calories, he's doing a keto diet which is literally just decreasing his calories but he thinks he needs to do keto.

He won't learn a keyboard because it's difficult so often he'll go around to not use a keyboard. I kind of understand the ergonomic idea of the controller mouse setup but hearing him talk about the lengths he did just to get that setup that barely functioned drove me and also Pat insane. He's constantly had the same strategy for combats in games and it's often a coward's way and he failed to learn various things or develop another way. I remember a time when I was watching a sekiro stream for a brief moment and all I saw was Woolie go for a fight and immediately back out, talk for a moment, go for the fight, and back out. It's very strange, it's like he's scared to die in a game when dying is a part of the learning process.

I would say he's a lolcow but his antics aren't really funny, they're mostly just infuriating and oddly fascinating.
Why? that was the backbone of their channel for years, was it "muh dlc" or what?
Long story is that the games he wants to play are filled with bad netcode and many devs are set in their ways. He basically just wants to start a game, press maybe one or two buttons to get a match, have the match run fine, and then go to the next match.

I'm not a fighting game person (it's just not my thing) but from what I can tell from their experiences on the podcast, many fighting games aren't really like that. The netcode is bad, the process to find a match is bad, It also doesn't help that Virtua Fighter, the thing he's wanted for years, has bad netcode and the devs won't fix anything while many devs are fixing their games.

on the podcast, Pat thinks that people who dont want to spend 100+ hours on a game to get to the good part, are stupid. Someone mentioned 'who has 100 hours to spend on one game, to which he said "you can buy a game and play it over 5 year, theres no time limit on something you own"

I get his point, but I dont want to spend 5 years on a single game, and if im not enjoying a game 20 hours in, I dont want to play 80 more hours just to get to the good parts.
Do you remember what game they were talking about when he brought this up? I'm curious what game he was trying to defend because he's been stubborn as fuck to continue things that left a bad taste in his mouth at the beginning, so I wonder what's changed.

It really annoys me when people push the "It gets better!" mentality, as if a few hours isn't already a sizeable time investment. If a piece of media isn't gripping in its early acts, why should I assume that it's just going to magically "get better" without any proper indication? I'd feel like an idiot if I wasted 20 hours on a game I didn't end up liking, wasting 100 hours would actually make me depressed because that's such a substantial waste of my time, especially when I could have called that things weren't going well from the start. Creating a good opening is an art in itself, because you need to attract the right audience to your work, and it's not "stupid" to use your judgement to figure out if you are in that audience and properly allocate your time.

This seems like the bad thought process of an addict that needs to lie to themselves that they're having a great time with their addiction, and they need validation from other addicts to feel good about themselves.

That thread is fucking hilarious.

Like... How could anyone have not known?
Best part is there are plenty of comments in the thread expressing exactly that.
"Wait, I thought that was already known."
And the response is usually "Yeah, but its more because if you know you know" like what the fuck does that mean lol, why are people acting like its not the most obvious thing in the world? Thats like looking at SuperButterbuns and not realizing shes a massive butch lesbian.

Listen, y'all don't know Woolie, and can't tell him what to do, and he's all about hard games, you don't know him, but Sifu is too fast, it doesn't give him enough lab time, and keeps trying to push him into progress. Someone who isn't LPing would have an easier time, you all don't know him, he's all about hard games, no johns. Where is the snail accessibility settings? Time to turn off the game and talk to Reggie about not-johns for 20 minutes. You dont know Woolie. You can't tell him what to do. He's all about hard games. No johns. He'd be acing this if he wasn't LPing.

"Maybe a patch will fix it so I can go back and redo bad choices that hold me back."
Idk Woolie why didnt you lab Arkham Asylum offscreen and get better with the combat, dipshit?

Something I miss from the old days was what sincere hypelords they were. Their energy was infectious. Even when they'd shit on and "suffer" through stuff like David Cage games... they were really having fun with shitting on it, the energy was still positive.

Now Woolie is a living sandbag who think being fun or energetic would make him less cool even though the opposite is true, Matt is like a really shitty awkward mask of forced fake hype where the unhappy frumpiness underneath is seen right through, and Pat... yelling stupid opinions isn't the same as hype.

Not news for any of us but Suzi aka spherehunter finally came out as trans.

I wonder if...

The real red pill on suzi is the connection to anthony cumia

Because he did that playthrough out of obligation/spite

Man wtf really happened to woolie, was he always this boring or did mid life crisis affect him in particular really bad. Because fucking hell the entirety of content in his shitty channel is SOO bad. His entire personality has changed and he's become such a bitch made tool. Its like woolieVS is being run by woolies crazy priest brother who was actually his twin all along(explains his DMC fascination) and real woolie is locked in the basement to repent for his blasphemies against Jah. Honestly its become really apparent just how much Matt and Pat were reigning him in from lol-cowdom even aside from the three of them having such god tier chemistry. Post-SBFP woolie isn't fun anymore, ig he's had enough of being funny hype dumb black guy and wants to be *le epic intellectual quirky black guy now but it sure as hell isn't working, dude doesn't let loose much anymore and have fun and the attempts at trying to make reggie the funny punching bag like old woolie is awkward af. I'm sure Reggie is a really nice guy IRL but for fucks sake he's SO boring. He seems disinterested in the entire thing(which is understandable considering how much a wet fart post-SBFP woolie is) and doesn't really vibe well with woolie. Aside from his content and woolie himself being so boring and hard to watch, without a Pat or Matt to reign him in his autism is on full fucking display, and its not the enjoyable Pat kind of autistic sperging, this is just irritating and actively sabotaging his content. But in this case literally 70% of WoolieVS's content is woolie sperging out all cross eyed on stream. He should rebrand his channel as "autistic black guy with rare neuroses struggles through vidya" and bag some IDpol money and sponsorship. Literally the only thing worth watching in the channel is the DMC5 LP which is actually really fun, which proves they've still got it. Its just that in all these years we thought Woolie was the normal and levelheaded guy but he's as retarded as the rest but the chemistry between them was one in a million nd they complemented each other well. Which brings me to my main complaint, why tf can't woolie and Pat do more LP's. Literally why, like wtf is their reasoning? Would we miss out on such amazing content like woolie going through menus and taking 30 minutes to summarize the plot to a bored and awkward Reggie every 10 minutes for his intellectual coolguy larp and Pat fighting playing with his pets on stream and pretending to care about streaming and his army of chat-goblins and paypigs...

I like that three years after the channel ended, we still occasionally get new posters in this thread echoing the same complaints that people have been making for so long.
More people are waking up and realizing the magic is gone, and the dream is dead. Considering how sudden the breakup was, it was understandable that it would take something like a year for the guys to find their groove back.

However, two things happened. First, Covid hit and and it opened the can of worms on politics and just how ignorant and pig-headed these guys are. Second, Vtubers became a huge and people began to realize how much the guys were phoning it in. These guys have done nothing to adapt to the brave new world that is streaming now, and it's starting to bite them in the ass as their audience grows smaller and goes to the competition.

Haha, this is the first time I sat down and actually watched woolies content post-breakup after stumbling onto their reddit sub. I mean the way they talk about woolies content seems like all is well even after the breakup but its clear they're just loyal fanboys still clinging on to the channel out of pity, I seriously can't see how anyone can actually enjoy his content. I don't like watching streams, just isn't my thing but even I can acknowledge Pats twitch grind and the effort he puts into it. Just had to vent seeing woolie in this state, I hope he gets his shit together or he gets off his high horse and does more LP's with Pat because the "woolie way" sure as shit ain't working....

idk, I don't think coof is to blame for Woolie's enthusiasm decline. Pat for sure became dumber and more annoying due to the quarantine, but I don't think this excuse works in Woolie's case. I think if anything twitter is the biggest influence on all 4 in that regard and why they all suck in different ways now.

yeah, about that - even if Woolie was willing to do that Pat wouldn't because I don't think there's much to gain from that for him.

they're just gonna coast off of the podcast money until they reach obscurity oblivion as more people stop pretending their content is worth watching/listening.

I can see that, deleting my account from that hellsite was one of the best things I've ever done. However, Woolie never struck me as one of those perpetually online people like Pat is. Also Woolie seemed to do a lot more before Covid happened, but that could just be me projecting.

They were all heading in their current directions before the breakup.

When Liam left, I always thought the actual reason was because of Pat getting more and more... psychopathic. Pat used to be very conscientious, with occasional autism, but fans latched onto his squirks and he started feeding it more and more in response to people praising his quirky goblins.

And remember the shitshow that was Nuzlocke? That was a Woolie led LP. Really seems like a prototype for the boring slow autistic drag that is all his LPs now.

From around Nuzlocke onward Matt started acting like a bitch who didnt wanna be in the LPs. It wasnt cause of Nuzlocke, it was probably his wife and growing irritation with Pat, but I really noticed Matt dragging down anything he was in around Nuzlocke.

Matt would constantly take passive aggressive snipes at Pat after Liam left and seemed like he didnt wanna be in any LPs or the podcast. It wasnt too big a surprise they broke up, just sudden.

But they did keep each others' autisms in check. Pat really needed Liam and Matt to tell him he was a douche and wrong. Woolie needed people to break his ego and make fun of him so he'd just let go.

Liams heel turn into being this massive bitch-made faggot behind the scenes was so bizarre, Rising superbitch and boss baby were probably secret gay lovers and Pat autistically sperging out and disrespecting Liams favourite loli visual novel got him all pissy and he egged on Matt who was already at odds with Pat.

Your leaving out how much Matt and Liam needed Pat and Woolie.

Matt needed them to kick him in the ass so he would actually work rather than laze around doing nothing. And Liam needed them to give him a reality check about how the world actually works.

They all needed each other to compensate or at least inform each other of their various weaknesses and raw spots.

Liams turn was always the oddest to me. Guy owns copies of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia (Jammed with loli bs) and a box copy of Sengoku Rance (Heros goal is to literally fuck every woman, consent or not), not to mention his best known joke from SBFP is dropping hard R during Star Fox Adventures. Talk about an overcorrection.
