Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

Did my own googling and this was all I could find relevant to it. Doesn't seem credible in the least. What compels people to make videos like this to begin with?
This reminds me of the NASA hoax where the sun was supposed to vanish for a week or something. My mom actually fell for that one. I feel like she would fall for this as well.

Large numbers of rich Chinese people have been investing in Canada in order to get their money into a stable country that doesn’t arbitrarily steal their money. We now know that Canada’s banking system is just as arbitrary as China’s, and if these foreign investors are made aware, they may pull their money and stop investing in Canada. The Chinese government doesn’t like capital flight, so I could believe they have their news stations talking about how risky it is to bank or invest in Canada.
The Canadian gov has had a tendency for a while to just snatch the money out of your bank account if you owe anything instead of asking you to pay them.

If the Chinese stop investing in Canada, there might be some hope for the real estate industry going back to normal,

Also Chinese landlords are the worst.

My boomer (late gen X) Coworker is talking about some sort of leaked letter from Trudeau from around mid 2019 which spells put dates of events that have come to fruition. Smells like bullshit, but an interesting one is a supposed 10 day internet blackout in Canada starting on the 24th.
Cancel your FFXIV Raid plans lads.
There was some, I think Q anon stuff, going on about the "10 days of darkness."
Some sort of tinfoil type people were talking about it.
Maybe a year, two years ago. Very vague about it.
I would prepare for it. Sometimes these people know things.

Maybe, I'm too optimistic, but that could be the needle who could burst the housing bubble in Canada.

I've been putting some thought into what took them so long to crack down on this. I'm sure it didn't help that sympathetic RCMP and local cops were leaking data to them but that can't be the whole of it. With a couple of organizers having RCMP PSD, counterterrorism, and military training, I have no doubt they briefed everyone on what techniques the cops would attempt to use on them both while participating in the convoy and after being arrested. I think that alone really made the government scared to move on them too suddenly, because they feared an effective counterattack from the protestors. It probably took them all three weeks of on the ground HUMINT to verify that they were unarmed before they moved on them. Does this sound plausible to anyone else?

I'm noticing a lot of people in this thread have shifted from using "Soyboy" as their preferred insult to "bugmen." The term "bugmen" predates "soyboy" in use, with "soyboy" supplanting it. I read it as a good sign, since "soyboy" is merely an insult where as "bugmen" is the definition of dehumanizing language.

But with that said I find "bugmen" to be a better descriptor of the stereotypical progressive. The particular bug being bees.

Bees are the epitome of a highly socialized species. We derive the phrase "hive mind" from bee hives. Progressives these days favor highly ordered social environments. They succeed in office and white collar environments, which is probably why their ideas are so dominant in our era of large corporate and bureaucratic structures.

Another thing to note is bees are uniquely smart, especially for bugs. You know how they do little dances to communicate where the necter is? Those dancing moves are unique to each hive, and has to be learned by little dronelettes, not unlike how we learn languages. Most progressives are college educated and are generally brighter than average. But they often have an overinflated sense of intelligence, since college is more of a barometer of a baseline intelligence, and really its testing that you can accomplish basic tasks expected of a paper pushing bureaucrat. It's one of the reasons boring, drab pseudo intellectual race theory goes over well with them.

To a midwit like them, CRT sounds really smart and innovative, when it really is just a bunch of word games and overly technical semantics that come off more like corporate literature than anything. I'll say this about Marxism, when I speak with Marxist lingo and phraseology, I feel more intelligent. It just has that sort of vibe to it. When I do the same with woke/CRT, I feel like retard trying to sound smart.

Another thing about bees is they are largely an asexual species, with one fat bitch at the top, some male bees that literally exist to fuck and die, and a legion of infertile female worker bee. We've come to a cultural period where androgyny is embraced, but the androgyny being pushed is not of a Christian Angel or a reveling Glam-Rocker, but a sort of aggressive asexualism, not unlike the common worker bee.

They want to hold to the image of the wild and Dionysian image of the 60's out of a sense of pride and tradition. But its clear that they crave authority, structure, and a feeling of overall security; something that open sexuality threatens. The obsession with kink and gender from these people is a way to contain and tame the wild and natural forces of sex and eroticism. They intellectualize it, overly define it like they are trying to tame a wild beast.

They trot out open displays of sexuality and eroticism as a defanged and declawed circus lion, hoping to freak out the norms, and that you will point your White-Supremacist-Nazi-Alt-Right-Honking finger at them to cry "Deeegennurrateee!". When you fret about trans people in women's restrooms, you're saying their castrated pet tiger is dangerous. "OMG so what, its just a little kinky kitten. You should lighten up and stop being such a prudish bigot!" Ironically I find religious types who are fearful of sexuality actually revere sexuality more than the people who openly obsess over sex and gender. At least in fear, they give it the respect it as the powerful force that it deserves.

And finally, the near total obedience to authority and the mainstream despite the absolute free fall most people are having in trusting the ruling institutions. It's not unlike a worker drone with her antenna up, taking in each chemical secretion from nearby sister drones and the home hive without thought, despite having an intelligence that rivals some mammals. They just can't help it. I don't know if its pride and ego, or a natural reaction they have.

Apologies for the tl;dr.

I'm sick of reading all this gay shit about COVID. Oh so-and-so got sick because they didn't wear their mask and talked to someone not in their bubble! The virus is airborne! The building isn't ventilated well enough! You don't know what's in the vents!!!!

What the fuck kind of paranoid way of living is this? Why is this happening? Fucking CTV News is trying to propagate that COVID 19 is airborne. While it may not be untrue, it's alarmism to say so, because it's been "airborne" this whole time as droplets can remain in the air. Now watch, all the bugmen are going to be telling me about how the newest variant is transmitted by air and it's doubleplusgood to wear your mask.

Fuck this tyranny.
Isn't this an argument against mask mandates? Masks "work" because they stop the coof from launching droplets at people, but if it's tiny airborne particles than masks don't do shit unless the mesh is so fine that even those tiny particles are screened out.

I think the biggest problem they have is relying on and putting all of their faith in "experts" who should be called "guessers" because it all boils down to making educated guesses for most things the experts cover that is not hard science. Most of the news articles I read at the beginning of this protest had experts opining on how this was going to play out quickly. I'd say that only one or two of the dozens of articles I read mentioned this going on longer than a weekend. It was clear to me from watching videos of the people participating that they were sincere in their beliefs and had the fortitude and faith to dig in as long as it took but I had no idea it would be allowed to go on as long as it did. For them to totally miss what was going to happen was just another thing adding to the pile of things that the experts were wrong on. They have decimated all trust in societal institutions and they keep pushing harder and harder to smash those little bits left into dust. I'm still in awe that they are that cocky and brave to continue pushing.
It's probably because the academic disciplines that would typically cover things like institutional trust have done nothing but sperg about race and gender for the last 30 years, and of course citing anything more than 30 years old is like showing up with a flip phone.

Soyboys are a subset of bugmen, not interchangeable terms. All soyboys are bugmen, but bugmen are not necessarily soyboys.

Bugmen is just coming back into fashion after being supplanted by NPC for a while.

>Demographic groups that approved of Trudeau’s tactics are the 65 and older category, as well as blacks and Hispanics.

>All other demographics, including men, women, Asians, white, and the younger age groups, disapproved of the heavy-handed federal action.

>The highest level of disapproval was seen in the 25 to 34 age demographic, where 100 percent said they disapprove of Trudeau's tactics regarding the protestors.

Very very interesting poll.

You leave the bees alone, they're good bugs! I think wasps make a better analogy, still hive-minded, but with a much greater tendency towards parasitism. If we're gonna go for dehumanisation via animal allegory, let's do it proper; nobody fucking likes wasps.

As an aside, I once ate wasp honey after taking out one of their hives... tasted more like maple syrup than honey. 🤔

Things only look bleak if you currently live in Canada. I certainly don't envy any Canadians right now, and if I had any Canadian friends I'd be offering them refuge here in the States.

For the rest of us? The fun is just getting started. This is the beginning of something really big. Hopefully the beginning of the end, but we'll have to see.

No matter what anyone says, this is not Jan 6. All the unsanctioned boomer tour of the Capitol accomplished is giving Democrats something to whine about (so... a day ending in y) and some boomers rotting in prison. One could say it was truly useless, and even detrimental to their cause. The Freedom Convoy and Trudeau's response, on the other hand, has already had major consequences, consequences that are nowhere near done presenting themselves yet. It's hard to say what lays at the end of the tunnel, but at this point we can definitively say that it won't be a return to "normal".
The main thing J/6 did was put a cabash on mainstream conservatives contesting the election, and fundraising for what will be a tough election year for Dems. While they've tried to make it more than that, most people have moved on, and are more pissed off about inflation. They are trying to use it as a to kick off Republican from voter roles though, and will certainly be trotted out as a legal justification to bar Trump from running again.

The poll confirms what anyone who have followed american politics or any western politics knows that the top 20% the lap top class hates the working class with passion and will support any measures to shut the damn peasants up also the same class that has benefited the most from neoliberalism and open borders policies. If you go and see the polls open for public to vote on any canadaian news site not the " measured " polls you will get similar ratios 20-25 % support Trudeaus bs to shut up the uppity peasants and make them work vs the rest of the country. At this point i hope Canadians start hunting them .

I think you’re on to something with that bee analogy. It’s also worth noting that there are multiple species of bee that are solitary and have much smaller families of a dozen bees at most. I think some species are even monogamous.

The way I see it, a bee is a product of its circumstances and environment. Queen honey bees only become fertile because the royal jelly that they feed on as larvae prevents them from going sterile like the ten thousand worker bees they shit out during their lifetime. Their identity comes from being part of a hive rather than a kin group.

The parallels are pretty obvious: honey bees are the modern urban class while solitary bees like the furrow and carpenter are reflective of rural (and to a lesser extent suburban) communities. You don’t see that strong sense of cohesion and familiarity in urban centers anymore. It’s no surprise that the biggest proponents against the nuclear family are all spiteful urban academics.

Dear God, I can’t believe I sperged about bees for like 20 minutes

As the federal government tries to shut down the natural resource industry, more and more of the Canadian economy consists of laundering Chinese money and real estate development. Shit’s fucked.

I’m came here to honk horns and say nigger, and I already said nigger.

HONK!
Did they have 56K in 1992? Like granted I lived somewhere kinda backwards at the time. I remember 28.8 was the internet until the mid to late 90s when they started advertising 56K as some massive advancement.
Depends on where you lived. My area had cable internet by 1994, it used 56k phone connection for upstream and cable for downstream. DSL would hit the market a few years later but well before the end of the decade.

As someone living in Canada now, its really not that bleak. Darkest before the dawn, and all that.

Look at it for a moment, on the higher view. The government has gone nuclear over peaceful protest. There are still lines the protestors can cross in escalation. All that is left for the government is "Live fire into crowds". They already have no further leverage left, and people are still advocating, acting, and moving. Fighting this is not a matter of one decisive protest where Trudeau throws his hands up, cries, and says its all back to normal. Fighting this at this point is accepting that the government will continue to mount wild human rights abuses, but has no further it can go, and loses the optics battle more and more every day. Optics don't win the fight, but optics get more and more normies stepping up to do something about this, in their own way, as they see things get worse and worse, and fear being the next target.

I donated to the protest, weeks ago. As far as I can tell, this means my fate is already sealed and I will be debanked and stripped of my rights in this country. Many thousands are in the same boat, and many tens of thousands make up those peoples immediate friends and close family. We have nothing to lose by being loud and angry, or worse if it comes to it. And if they crack down on us, that just expands the group that is directly feeling the consequence of the Canadian collapse of democracy.

An enemy in panic and blind rage is not a bleak fate. It is a scary one, terrifying even, but it is not something that can't be overcome. The darkest fate only comes when we sit down and just accept it as the new way things are, let them take the unclean from among us, and strip away everything that was built up here. Canada is in peril, but Canada is far from falling. And its important to remember that while canadians have a reputation for being the nicest, most polite people on the planet, a lot of that covers the fact that we're incredibly spiteful little fucks that will malicious compliance the shit outta everything.
