This either coincided with, or was directly attributed to the creation of the Captain Specks thread which was an absolute dumpster because of the image pasting glitch during the time, the thread was also a Discord collaboration. People who were following this stuff made the thread.

Due to captain gas pipe's involvement in the Vickers debacle, it set off numerous alarms and came off as gayops. People who are accustomed to the Gunt Subforum's culture immediately questioned it. Seems like getting personally involved in Discord isn't frowned upon as much here, and I have no problems respecting that.

So we (Gunt subforum jannies) then tried pretty hard to keep the thread up and moved it away from Discord, this angered the group behind the thread even though one of their members got it, and has been doing a great job at upkeep. The group blamed @Captain Manning initially, but then decided it was Dean who leaked the chatlogs? That "hey babe" shit didn't do us any favours of course.

While I am fairly certain it wasn't Dean who gave me those files, he seized this opportunity and tried to do some kind of "gayops xposed" video with Surfer, which backfired in his face.

Dean was personally invested in Captain Specks 06 and wanted to manufacture a piece to defend the captain's honour and run damage control? I have many issues with that. Speak for yourself.

So a pozloading my neghole captain and his "client" caused so much headaches and infighting drama. Good fucking riddance, no regrets making sure your thread stayed up.

Dean did that. I don't think Vikki was involved. Vikki had a separate equally questionable legal strategy of dodging process service and pretending the case didn't exist while she spent her time on comicsgate drama.

But Vikki is still ironically in a better position legally than Dean now. If she can overcome a default judgement by Preston against her, I think she can still hire an attorney and argue for dismissal over jurisdictional issues (like FROG did). And she will probably get it dismissed.

I have long suspected as such. I think I even know who it is based on certain "reactions." I will NOT ask you or any other mod to confirm it though, because I don't want to put you in an uncomfortable position.

I mean, it would be cool if @5t3n0g0ph3r could edit the OP to say one Kiwi is suing THREE Kiwis, but this thread has probably gotten ridiculous enough as it is. Yes. I sent you and @Sam Losco proof of this months ago. Including DM logs and Surfer's video "testimony."

I think @5t3n0g0ph3r might perceive mentioning this incident as crapping up this thread, not because I think Sten is trying to "cover up" anything, or a bad mod (quite the contrary) but simply because he is a consummate organizer guy (it fits with his username), and he wants to keep this focused on the lawsuit. So, if I need to discuss this matter, I usually talk to individuals, or mention it in Spectre's thread.

But in an attempt to tie this to the lawsuit proper (and hopefully Sten will indulge me for just a moment since you, a mod most familiar with all this, mentioned it here first):

It's pretty evident to me when this all happened there was a panic out of the D&V camp when it became known that Spectre was writing the briefs for this lawsuit and that was incorporated into Spectre's thread. That was after Null undeleted Spectre's posts in this thread. There was indeed an attempt to crash out the Spectre thread (out of retaliation, or some misguided attempt to cover this all up), and then get Surfer on Dean's own channel, by way of bamboozling Surfer into believing he was blamed for leaking stuff to you and that the Spectre thread was all a gay op.

It was gay. It caused headaches. But it ultimately worked out in the end.

Since that shitshow, D&V have developed really big problems concerning this lawsuit. Problems that, in the case of Dean at least, can be tied back to Spectre. Is that karma? I dunno. That's for each person to decide for themselves.

75K. PP just figuratively pegged them after they grifted 1k to pay for a lawyer that they never hired, but instead went to a lying craterface while pretending it never existed.

I know Big Nose is overquoted but how embarrassing. Seriously, how fucking embarrassing is it to end up owning that much money because some people can't even bother to take a lawsuit seriously even if it's a frivolous lolsuit.

Sounds like he's aware of the size of his audience. He knows that if he lingered on them for too long it would be like using a magnifying glass on an ant on a hot day. He is right, Ethan Van Scriver is a comics artist, activist and public figure. Dean and Vikki are basically mental patients who need to be put into a straight jacket in a rubber room to stop from hurting themselves.

It's a retarded case, when you get right down to it. It should have been over by now, and would have if D&V had lawyers.

I didn't transcribe the specific quote (see updated post above), but one point he basically said they need to get their shit together. Especially Dean.

He didn't exactly do Spectre any favors either. Spectre said one thing in chat regarding the service on Vikki, which he ignored, and another mod basically told him to shut the fuck up. I think I have to wait for Youtube to process the full chat transcript though. That usually takes a while.

Technically the GoFundMe was started by a 3rd party who didn't scam anyone, after Dean got the money things got tarded. Really, this whole situation boils down to Preston being a butthurt homosexual who decided to take down his e-enemy - EVS and his own former anti-EVS allies(D&V), both of which became aware of what a creepy weirdo Preston is and accurately described him as such. In the end, he only is hurting his own former friends and causing their anti-EVS antics to lose credibility. Whoops! I'm not fan of EVS, but I do wish I had enemies as incompetent as he does, what luck! If EVS just waits a few more years, Preston may take out all of anti-CG for him!
 
Well, today's the day. I don't know if @I'm not a Robot will be able to pull up the docket sheet this evening and see if a conference actually occurred, but one way or another we'll probably know soon enough if Dean has a lawyer who entered an appearance, or the conference even happened.

Dean and Vikki have been screeching autistically in video after video... tweet after tweet... proclaiming that @FROG is incompetent. It intensified ever since EVS was dismissed.

Vikki employed a strategy where she basically sat on her ass hoping the process server doesn't find her, and Dean... we'll it's been beat to death at this point now, hasn't it?

Something something Spectre, something something GFM, something something "I'm gonna call the Texas bar on Monday, they'll return my call on Tuesday, and the conference is on Wednesday." It's like a school kid that asks to copy another kid's book report, but that kid rides the short bus to school, so he gets an F. Then, for the next paper, he begins writing it the night before it's due, and we're not sure he'll have it done in time.

Competence indeed.

Nobody says they have to like EVS, and I'm guessing the competence issue they refer to is the late boooooooksssss, but now is probably the time to shelve that shit. Bad optics. At least as far as this case is concerned, EVS has proven highly competent. He hired a lawyer and shut the fuck up. It worked. For now, at least.

I honestly can't decide who I like more in this amazing case. The genius who instead of hiring any random lawyer to get this lawsuit dismissed instead decided to hire General Mattis's personal lawyer and special agent despite being given 1000 dollars more than enough to hire a lawyer for him and his grandma. Or perhaps the grandma who I can only assume due to decades of espressing dogs anal glands got such a bad case of groomers lung that the lack of O2 made her think she could try the pro legal strat of pretending it doesn't exist and is now 75k in the hole (thats alot of dog anal glands fam)

But one this is beyond question. For his service to kino and nectar I want us all to stand and give a slaute to 5 star general spedtree
