The concept art for Aloy was done by Loish. For anyone unfamiliar, Loish draws pretty girl art that is extremely popular, and I'd guess her fans are largely female. So it's interesting that the character turned off women for being too attractive, because the concept art is very much in Loish's style and isn't dolled up in any unrealistic way, so I wonder what Guerilla did during character development to make Aloy off-putting to women.

Well, when you speak about inclusion and representation in a broad sense, it isn't a bad thing. Hey you wanna see more stories about different people from other culture, sexualities, ect? Sure, why not? Some of this stuff might not be for me, but as long as people have a choice in whatever they want to see, go for it.

So it is a very "live and let live" type of mind set, and it hard to oppose, because just plain hard genuine bigotry is hard to come by, if people wanna make movies,/games/whatever about wheelchair neurodivergent gender divergent queer people, most people would just say "go for it".

Problem arises when there is a moralistic push for this sort of portrait in properties where there was no such thing before, and a combative mindset that if you are to opose it, then you get to be labled a bad person. And in a combate, you need two to tango, so then you have people like those fandom menace retards, Quarterpound or that Nerdrotic guy, who do nothing but bellyache about any news about fucking "pop culture". I get that is their hustle to make cash, but for fucks sake do they need to bitch non stop about Brie larson or any news about Miss Marvel?

And now that these idiots made it about morals, to be judged upon on what your views about fucking capeshit "representation", then you get people like Jim Sterling, bullies disguised as caring and concerned for the "opressed", letting their bile and over all unpleasant side of their personalities to be displayed in a act of "indignation" and anger against the bigotry for the "me and mine".

So we get to the final act of this shit show, representation ain't just "alternative", but a necessity for normalization in a "fight" to be engaged in social media. Now, in a perfect world, the so called "fight" would just stay in social media as pathetic as they are and the big corpos would just put out what sells, but western media is VERY concerned about PR, and vocal minorities from the progressive do seem to have the ears, because it has been ingrained that they are the "moralistic good", a act that only emboldens those who drank the cool aid to have more and more exacerbated actions like that.

You’re reminding me of why I hate modern day BioWare games and it started around the time Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 came out.

Dragon Age 2’s story was shit but the bigger issue was the one dimensional at best characters. There was “I like to drink and I’ll fuck anything with a pulse” pirate lady from DA2 and the gay guy in ME3 that constantly has to remind you he lost his husband, who he was married to because he was gay, to the reapers and how he’s gay and wants to get revenge for the death of his husband, who he married because he’s gay and, by the way, he’s gay.

Like, I’m a pretty tolerant person and in almost any social situation I can find common ground with almost anyone but when your whole personality revolves around sex and alcohol or the fact that you’re gay I’m not gonna like you because, while I like sex and alcohol as much as anyone else I only have so much to say about it whereas I can talk for hours about stuff like world history, bands I like and movies I think everyone should see.

I’ll end this by saying if you haven’t seen “The Long Good Friday” you should. It’s one of Bob Hoskin’s best movies and has a young Pierce Brosnan.
