shouldve been lighter purple too then. the battle damage color on that galvatron would genuinely look good.
They could have at LEAST fixed the problem that is the feet only being painted on the front giving hima weird stump/hoof look to his feet. This issue is not a thing on the 2 selects versions of galvatron because 1 paints the whole foot black and the other just has the feet unpainted. removing paint from a figure should open up the "budget" for additions but there's nothing added here.

Kingdom galvatron's probably gonna be complete scalper fodder now knowing how this shit works.
EDIT: I'm probably gonna hold offon making anything custom out ofmy missassembled kingdom galvatron now in casethis new one is widely available and goes on discount

I think I'll just keep it in the box. It looks like Megatron is just cosplaying as a Hiss Tank. It looks like it's a KO in terms of quality.

That being said, the Viper Officer with Vipers three pack looks good. I like the blast effects you get with them.

SHIT! they should/couldhave easily madeit compatible with the retro/25th line by making the seat go back a bit further but they're going all in on the "return of O-ring reissues!" shit to the point that I think the HISS III is gonna be the last of it's kind.Sad!

BIG missed oppurtunity making this a Soundwave and having megatron be a G2 styled tank.

EDIT: IT'S FUCKING NEARLY 100 DOLLARS WHAT THE FUCKX2. This shits smaller than the much cheaper black panther transformer they put out a few years ago not under the transformers label and that was scaled to 6 inch figures! I almost got one when they were on clearance for 15 to make it into a custom ravage. This seems about just a little above that in terms of complexity

On the bright side, it's a lot more clear how you can modify a HISS into a transformer if you know how to cut and kitbash shit. I don'thave the skills or money, sadly. Gi joe shit in general continues to be either purely poorly stocked scalper-bot or scalper-employee fodder aside from the 1or 2 questionable choice items that do not sell out instantly like the megatron HISS.

The Selects "UNICRoN ComPanIon PaCK" Galvatron was back in stock for a bit like a week or so ago without saying it restocked and I forgot to bring it up in here after the site came back up. It's sold out again now it seems.

To me it looks more like Cyberverse Ultimate Megatron not Siege.

Nah, cyberverse ultimate megatron is heavy as shit surprisingly, but lacks any articulation. Only hollow-y bits on him are the legs and he'd be a nearly perfect albeit stylized g1 megatron figure if not for the fact they chose to fucking have his cannon permanently attached to his forearm and remove his elbows. This looks like a mix of earthrise and authentics megatron engineering wise, with the botmode being based on that one modernized g1 megatron design that's weirdly never had a figure aside from some 3rd party ones.

I’m not saying retool, but I believe the CAD files for Siege/Earthrise Megatron were used as a foundation for this Megatron. That head is Siege Megatron, it’s a little-known fact that the Crossover line has its own team. Which is why the engineering is fucky, more often than not.

If Megatron is actually painted white then I might buy, it’s almost a dead-ringer for Stormbringer Megatron

It's very clearly meant to be that megatron design, which makes it interesting we're finally getting a figure of it, albeitone with a non-cybertronian H tank mode. Quality wise it looks like it'd be something they'd normally sell for like $40 but because they're doign this full on in"RETRO O RINGS!!" thing the cheapness to price ratio is probably the excusefor why it's the way it is at the price it is. I'm still peeved about them not using the improved cockpit they've used on every HISS reissue since some point in the 2000s for this because it means you're only going to be able to put O-ring style figures in the driver's seat rather than just any figure within the general scale.That small indented seat, though less smooth looking, did fucking wonders. I said it in my previous post but I really need to hammer home just how fucking peeved I am over that improvement being omitted for seemingly no reason whatsoever since the chair seems to become back-kibble. It's a modern megatron design but hollow as shit to save money and framed as a "retro style" thing.

Do we know how big it is? Voyager or Leader? That box looks pretty big.

Kinda peeved that a design I like is being handled by the Crossover team, shit like this is why I cancelled most of preorders.

It'd have to be leader sized to fit a full sized gi joe in it. I remember some people back in the dayI saw someonemade some transforming HISS tanks that were a bit jank and used the cockpit as like the chest but not in a way where you could have a figure sitting in it. I got my modded leader combiner wars megs from like back in 2016 on a shelf near my Soundwave crossover DTC HISS reissue I got off ebay and the scale generally seems to check out.
The DTC hiss is slightly larger than the normal HISS but is generally around the same size.

My guess is considering LEADER class now is the same size as voyager with more engineering they'd consider this megatron "commander class" as his price matches with the SG jetfire.

They would need to upscale it. The Ultimate one doesn't need an upscale, just needs a retool and can stand up with the H.I.S.S Tank shell

It's a new mold but definitely has similarities to Siege/ER. Wouldn't be surprised if they used it as a base to build off of. I noticed the extremely Siege looking head immediately.

Apparently they said it's around Commander size.

I personally like it even though it does look awkward in some places.
