Russia is unlikely to stop with Ukraine and is going to push into Poland, the Baltic States, and possibly even as far as Romania and Hungary. Very much doubt this. First of all, of the insurgencies would be more than Russia could deal with. In fact, if you hate Putin and Russia you should pray for him to do this, it would be Afghanistan 2.0 on multiple fronts with the US funding guerillas in every one of those countries. IMO Russia will draw the rest of Eastern Europe into its corner slowly, by making them increasingly dependent on Russia for energy and other exports. The alliance with China, if it deepens, will tie this to Chinese financial investment, which usually comes with strings attached. Thanks to the retarded green movements, a lot of the more liberal European countries are exceptionally susceptible to energy concerns. This move was done to punch the West in the eye and give Russia geopolitical room to breath, while also ensuring their continued grip on natural gas production and distribution in the region.
