General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Imagine the shitshow that does happen if KSon collabs with Mikeneko after this
I'm wondering if the folks talking this way have never had a friend that does something stupid.

It doesn't always mean you hate the person after the fact. Kson could think what Rushia did was dumb and breached her contract, and still be her friend. these things aren't automatically mutually exclusive.

Any "shitstorm" that would come from the two interacting would just be pushed by faggots that thrive on invented drama anyway.

Think one thing we will get out of this is seeing the difference in work culture between JP and EN/ID.

JP side you're gonna see "We continue to do my best" "I'm abit sad, but I shall continue to deliver" or not even address this event at all.

EN/ID you're gonna see "The fuck man I can't even" "To sad to stream today" and possibly flip out or something.
The thing I got out of this is that for some reason EN/ID were kept out the loop entirely. All the JPs are acting like they already knew and have already gotten over it, while the EN/IDs are shocked and/or sad, cancelling streams and collabs, and acting like they only found out about it when we did. It doesn't really make sense for them to act like that if they did know.

Cover still has a lot of merch (and I mean a LOT) featuring the Rushia character coming, so I assume she's lawyering up to at least ensure she still gets the percentage she deserves

Expo + Rushia Nendo comes to mind immediately
That's the thing people don't seem to understand. She's their employee and got fired with what seems like no grace period. So of course she'll lawyer up. They run her YT channel to...the one she gets tens of thousands of dollars of superchats to which she won't have received yet. And of course, if she has reason too I'm sure she'll sue them.

Lots of fans just went full incel when the boyfriend revelation came out though so they don't care about anything but "Mean Vtuber bad".

Yeah, she's acted like a sperg since the boyfriend thing but doesn't mean a company can suddenly fuck off arguably their most popular talent.

It was serious enough for Cover to terminate their top earner and one of the top earners on all of YouTube with basically no notice. Make of that what you will.
Not a few weeks after backing her up on a drama issue and in a completely unceremonious manner as well. Could have easily gone "terminating her contract, but we are going to have her graduate in a nice celebratory manner like last year". Nope, it's full scorched earth and most of the other talent seems kinda ok with it (though whether that happens to remain in the following days, we will see).

One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things doesn't belong,

All of that's true as well, which means it's even more likely to be something serious.

Woke up to Rushia being fired and Russia putting Ukraine on fire.
I wonder how vtuber drama channels will fan these flames. Only youtube channel I respect doing that is depressed nousagi tbh.

My rrat is that Rushia overshared some things she absolutely shouldn't have to Japanese Keemstar that even he realized he shouldn't disclose. Maybe how much of superchat earnings goes to her or whether other Holomem are dating too.

I was expecting her return stream to be the second biggest stream in Hololive history. Instead her cancellation will be the second biggest happening in Holo history. I honestly expect a HoloX to fill the GFE gap, the others are old goods but Sakamata Chloe is new and interesting still.

Ultimately I think its a good thing she's going independent and can do what she wants to do, stream what she wants to play and behave how she wants to do; to this day I have never seen her play a game and genuinely thought she had a good time. Japanese amouranth time?

You are acting like this firing happened because of that boyfriend and not her leaking shit.

It's unlikely we're going to find out what info she leaked because revealing the existence of the info for us to judge may not be in Cover's interests.

Curious what will happen to the merch in production especially since the talents front the money for the production. Given that its an immediate firing, i wonder if the termination clauses in the contract dictate how any outstanding money owed to her is to be resolved (or does she forfeit the money for breach of contract). This could get messy. Not surprised she is lawyering up.

On a sidenote, is this end of the cutting board meme?

Heartbroken fandeads aren't going to watch other V-Tubers more. They're going to watch V-Tubers in general less — at least for a while.

People who enjoy GFE womt gravitate to just anyone that provides it. They want Rushia. Chloe is not that. It's that simple.

Personally, I'm a touch skeptical of the reasons behind the announcement. Aloe was 'Graduated' due to poor mental health, but every time Cover make corpo speak, Delta gets insanely pissed off at the company, which doesn't imply they had good internal conversations. Kson's long-term goal is to provide a space where V-Tubers can be part of something they feel safe in, which feels very off note to me.

But I digress. The response from her fellow members is quite shocking; the cheery way FBK made the announcement most of all. Even if it's probably the best decision they could have made, something just feels deeply wrong about the general atmosphere surrounding this announcement.

In the letter they said that they were going to shut off membership. Didn’t mention deleting everything on there so I’m curious if they’re actually going to do it. It’d be another kick in the balls to all the fans.

EDIT: I’m retarded and it’s 3am. I didn’t read it write. They are shutting down the channel so if you’re a fan, start archiving.

This is always been one thing thats bothered me about JP business culture.

If you fuck up, they will literally do everything in their power to make sure you didn't even exist in the first place. You become a taboo subject that you dare even mention even in jest. You can already see it happening right now, as none of the girls have explicitly mentioned her name directly.

Sort of the same in normal JP companies where they basically bully you into quiting most the time. It's a shit system, but there nothing you can do about it...
