Russia was fine allowing Ukraine to exist as an independent nation as long as it remained neutral and demilitarized i.e. the status quo from the end of the cold war through the Trump years.
Asking for weapons and training from NATO is a sign of aggression and essentially the beginning steps of NATO integration. It was a very dumb decision.
Shorten that timeline, up to the Obama years where they began moving more towards the U.S. Hence, Crimea.

It should be obvious that arming civilians like this is a sign of sheer desperation.
Fact is, Outside of Berlin. All it took to defeat the Volkstrum units was to tell them go back home, and stay inside at night. Same shit will happen here. There are 3 distinctions people make when they sign up to fight. Are you fighting for you nation, your government, or your people. In limited warfare like this, most people will choose to leave their government to die. I doubt half of americans wouldn't care if Biden was dragged out by some Chinese special forces and beheaded as long as the Chinese kept their word to fuck off after it was over.

If by some crazy-ass coincidence that there is, I'd laugh myself into a coma. It'd make Biden's weak posturing leading into this shit the ultimate fuckup of his presidency regardless of what came after it, though I think you're a bit optimistic that they'd just start releasing stuff willy-nilly. Blackmail isn't worth a lot if you make it public, and having that much ammo would make taking other former soviet satellite states a shitload easier, I'd imagine.
Good point. But if Putin obtains a shit ton of blackmail. I doubt their being any war. When Putin just call Biden and be like.

"Unless you want all the videos and photos of Hunter raping underage girls realsed to the public, I would recommend you choose wisely"

In the closing days of WW2, the Germans were forming the Volkssturm, putting janky guns into the hands of old men and kids.
The Confederates did so as well near the end of the Civil War. When you have to start recruiting children, it's over. If Ukraine starts doing that, then it'll be too late for them if it isn't already.

Nice roadside picnic reference.

Moreso S.T.A.L.K.E.R, I've still yet to finish Roadside Picnic (I'm aware the game is an adaption of the book). Somewhat topical as well, since allegedly the invasion of The Ukraine will interfere with development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2

They moved Biden's speech about Ukraine an hour ahead, Sleeping probably. But then again what else is new?

An important aspect of this is that it did not happen in a vacuum; it happened after the Soros/Davos/CIA-backed coup of 2014.

Yes. As I said in prior posts. Trump's election actually delayed the Deep State / Intelligence community. They wanted to do this back in 2016-2017 and had to wait until "they were back" through Biden's regime.

Basically the same thing happened. America tried to play hardball and get Ukraine to join NATO. Russia wasn't going to let that happen and annexed Crimea. Now they'd taken over all of Ukraine.

Ah I'm in the opposite boat I've played a little bit of stalker call of pripyat and I've read Roadside Picnic a couple of times. Love that book.

Yes, I can't wait for the 42% Squadron to swarm Ukraine and shoot themselves in front of the enemy. The Russian soldiers will never recover from seeing a fat, blue-haired, troon blow his brains out all over Ukrainian soil.
I dunno. Maybe I'm weak, but if I saw some dude who looked like Shrek in his emo years huffing and puffing while run towards me screaming "it's ma'am" I might just collapse from fear of being attacked by a modern ogre.

You are deluded in thinking that Russia would let a post-Orange Revolution Ukraine exist independently. Go back to your containment thread.
