Long story short, she more-or-less slept with a dude from Cover who got her all of her equipment for streaming (she was 17 at the time I think) and this went south when she stopped talking/giving favors to the dude. He went full spirit of vengeance and outed her causing a debacle.

That is how I remember it being explained.

I'm feeling some Schadenfreude admittedly from the fact that Rushia immediately ignored her manager and went straight to JapStar and didnt even censor info properly. Like what was she thinking would happen. It's very clearly this garner for sympathy from people. I will point out that Rushia's manager had been in hot water before. Remember a long time ago during the EN debuts and she was still streaming. She got bombarded by chat about 'whether it was ok,' and other comments. Her manager was ghosting her and not the helpful sort. I remember some people in this thread also mentioned that her manager prior had seemed unhelpful. I have not evidence to that last statement, but if this is chronic behavior it would explain why she skipped her middle-man.

I think Kiara cancelling the Holotori collab might have more to due with Russia then it does with Rushia. Austria has conscription (even if it is only for 6 months after you turn 1 so it's quite possible she's worried about things. She's also the closest out of all the Holomembers to what's going on. Same with the other HoloEN members really. The JP ones didn't grow up in the shadow of the cold war, so while Russia hasn't been the bogeyman it was during the 70's and 80's big bad Russia is still a part of our collective unconscious.

This is an astronomically bad take for several reasons. Kiara's 25 years old first of all. Secondly the mandatory conscription is for men only. Thirdly, Austria is not a member of NATO.
Granted she could be conflicted about this from family members being conscripted, but again, Austria isn't a member nation of NATO.

Russia certainly is a big boogeymen for those wom have grown up close to it and as someone hailing from a nation neighboring Russia, its uneasy times indeed, this much is true. But Kiara and her immediate Austrian family of neutrality is in no danger.

I think loosing Coco last year helped the entire fanbase cope better with the fact that the talents will eventually have to go and they will not be here forever, i really expected a lot more anger but the general response i have gotten is simply a bit of sadness.

I'm guessing people/fans are getting rational about the whole termination as compared to kaichou's tear-jerking graduation.

But why would Aki or Mel not have a ceremony? They are both good girls.

she shared her chats of mafumafu with Korekore (a JP keemstar wannabe-ish), thus indirectly breaching contract of sharing information and showing messages where she used her business account for private stuff; not only that, but Korekore also shared during a livestream/recording that Rushia did share messages with her manager iirc, which adds another nail to the coffin. Rushia wasn't it the right state of mind and continued to make questionable decisions that lead to her trusting the wrong people, sharing private business info along the way, and getting thrown under the bus leading to such inevitability.

tldr; she fucked up big time with her actions that Cover couldn't handle and manage her.

Isn't it kind of interesting that Pekora and Marine are the emotional ones, while Noel and Flare aren't? A lot of speculation about what the leak could be, but it just struck me that the two in the supposed lesbian couple are the coldest. Maybe she leaked something regarding the reality or lack-there-of of their relationship. A scenario like, 'other members play up characters all of the time. Noel and Flare aren't real thing. . .' You get my drift. That would be something that could piss off a decent amount of people, and it would explain Fubuki being withheld given her closer friendship with Flare.

It's more confusion than anything, people didn't expect Rushia to get straight up fired over this (I kind of did after that first statement mentioning leaks) and unlike with Coco's graduation it will not end here and now, people like korekore will not let this go any time soon when the whole story turned more juicy. Much like with Russia nobody knows what might happen next, hololive might even fall apart.

Probably some combination of emotional Rushia fans not thinking clearly, people who are very new to vtubers, basic tribalists, and trolls who noticed that talking about Nijisanji being "better" whenever there's Hololive drama triggers a lot of Hololive fans.

A lot of casual foreign fans seem to have no idea about nijisanji past niji EN since clips about their JP members never got popular to the same extent as with hololive. Hell I bet they have no idea how "original" niji EN got axed in cold blood due to money.

AS an aside to all this: Shork has a members post up on youtube. Nothing to add to situation, apparently she's not sure she has permission for THE GAME[tm], but she wants to stream tonight for sure at least. Says if she can't, then she'd like to at least hang out and chat, maybe make a food tier list or something to goof off.

Vtuber voice is the 90% reason for their famous. This is why troon will never on the same level because you can chop off their dick but the adam apple will still make them sound like male or soy boy.

I agree that with some their voice is why they're famous but not all of them. Rushia I think benefited a lot of her voice which is why most of her memes or popular clips were her soft voice them her death metal voice.

But I think some Vtubers are more popular for either their character design or for their personality.

Some troons can get pretty popular though. Artemis exploded in popularity. It certainly wasn't their voice that made them popular.

TBH id very much hesitate to call him popular since most of his buzz felt kinda astro turfed, atleast from the obvious implication that it was a tranny and the "super gayy" autism they did kinda pushed him to the forefront since he had a decent model and not a too shit voice, his views plummeted like a lead weight once the buzz was up

Checked Koefficient's tweets because my hate-boner for him was acting up, and he's gone from calling Cover 'kings' for their barebones statement last week to blaming them for letting go of Coco and Rushia in a year. There's a lot of in-fighting even amongst his ilk of Holo tribalists.

FUCKING FINALLY i caught up to 40+ pages. That was rough, so.. as an advice from what i learned since 2020: never attach yourself too close to a vtuber or their company, to the point to be a mindless simp, because when the graduation/termination or anything that puts an end to a talent comes, it will hurt. My condolences to all fandeads tho.
