Taiwan is a literal island fortress, Chinese fighters try to invade their airspace literally every single day. China launching an airstrike would get BTFO'd and likewise their papertiger Navy is completely untested. You are delusional.

Taiwan has strategic significance for every major power in the world, Ukraine would seethe if China attacked Taiwan and saw the more forceful response in Taiwan's defense. Stop entertaining this dumb notion China can just reclaim the rebel province as swiftly as Putin can blitz through Ukraine.

I'm curious about this now. What would Taiwan do if China claimed an empty island that they haven't already been doing for 60 years?

Taiwan probably wouldn't do anything, they'd yell at us and then it would be up to the Joint Chiefs to decide if our alliances matter more than Chinese money. That's just a fucking guess on my part though.

Taiwan has missiles in range of nearly every major chinese commercial hub, ukraine doesnt have anything in range with regards to russia.
china attempting an invasion would be pyrrhic even if no one helped Taiwan.

Taiwan is literally THE world leader in semiconductor research and manufacturing, which is a field that is far from trivial to relocate. They have the experts, the facilities, and the supply chain in place, and if Taiwan falls to China, god knows what will happen to the world’s economy as a result.

They technically have a pair of carriers. Whether or not they could make it in striking range of Pearl Harbor (especially since they need to ski-jump planes off which means no real payload capacity for fuel or ordnance) before poor maintenance and seamanship sends them and their crews to Davy Jones' Locker is not exactly guaranteed.
