The british and the french declared war on germany after the german counter attack. French even managed to get a couple of miles into germany, till they found the defense line and run away.
their problem was that their army was complete shit and fall apart the moment the german main army went west.

Using non-uniformed combatants is a straight-up Geneva Convention violation, and would result in those people having the status of "illegal combatants" - the least-protected status in warfare.

Remember, the Geneva Conventions guarantee special protections to people of the following status:
  • "Civilian": You're not a legitimate target. "Proportionality" restricts whether you may be killed as collateral damage in a strike against a legitimate target near you.
  • "Privileged combatant" (i.e. regular soldier): You must be properly treated as a POV when captured.
An "illegal combatant" has neither of those protections.
Thus it's something you really don't want to call on your population to become, except as a matter of last resort in the face of extinction.
So either, the Ukrainian ministry of defense is really desperate - or they're assholes who would gladly sacrifice their citizens' legal protections in an effort to hold on to power.

... Or maybe they're just banking on the Western world / courts not giving a fuck about the Geneva Conventions anymore in the Current Year, and simply declaring all that Russia did illegal, and all that Ukraine did legal, by fiat.

When your country is invaded, it's already past the "offical" rules of war. If the US was invaded, Do you know how quick people would grab their rifle to add to the hassle? Partisans are more about interruption than effectiveness.

Those planes are all 40+ year old designs, russians can't even secure enough parts to build AESA radars for their newest planes.

The Su-57 now thats the real deal but it never went into full production because they are too broke-ass to afford them. They only have like a dozen and 2 prototypes, forget about seeing it in action as its too expensive to lose it.

The F-35 might be a disaster of a project but it can still beat the shit out of those old flankers they are using.

They don't rely on us, we rely on them. What vital services are we supplying to Russia that they can't get from somewhere closer and more politically aligned with them? I doubt the EEC is an economic powerhouse on par with the EU, but you're an idiot if you don't think that China have their hands in this against Europe.

Their command structure is fucked so unless a local commander took initiative it's unlikely, plus Russian air power will be backing the paras big time. I wouldn't take anything seriously from either side till we see video footage.

America can’t even control the problems regarding mass influx levels of immigration, rising crime in urban cities, homelessness, suicide/depression deaths, drug related deaths, media corruption, political corruption, Hollywood corruption and many other issues that plague our streets.

It's the first couple of days. The real shitstorm's coming. No one else has moved in so he's working against the clock AND seeing that that NATO was not prepared to fight back.
