Clearly the Trudeau regime, knowing full well how big of a deal the trucker protest was going to be, called up their allies in the white house who then called up their glowie operatives in the highest offices of the Russian government/military and had them begin a massive, highly visible military build up a full month before the protest started.

And then only after Trudeau's credibility had been trashed and the protest was strangled and fading from the public conscience did they give Vlad permission to finally pop the cork and proceed to take a massive shit on a decades long foreign policy goal of the US, Canada and the rest of the western allies.

Furthermore, while China isn't the dinky little toy factory it was 20 years ago, their military is still far behind what it would take to face of not only the USA, but Japan, India, and Taiwan itself. And remember, Taiwan is an Island. The Chinese navy despite its massive expansion is simply not up to a game of Battleship. Plus China has never excelled militarily except against itself.

So just woke up looks like where we are at is:

- strongest resistance is on belgorod-kharkov axis, Russia has taken some casualties there but is still moving forward and looks like on its way to encircling the city
- moving down steadily on the belarus-kiev axis but not a lot of reporting there because fighting would be taking place in the Zone and there's not civilians there to take grainy phone videos
- Russia appears to have successfully landed at a military airport just outside Kiev, but still contested. Ukraine attempting to hit with arty which indicates the russkis have likely cleared them out of the airport grounds at least.
- russia has totally broken out on the southern front, crossing the dnieper to head west and also heading north east to link up with the kharkov and donetsk fronts, have reached at least melitopol
- us intelligence expects Kiev to fall in 96 hours
- general view is RIP ukrops
- gonna take victory tour on this one, turns out the west can't just go scorched earth on sanctions because Russia supplies a lot of stuff the West needs and support from non-western powers e.g. india, Brazil is not forthcoming.
