You can't make a really good comparison because both presidents are completely different. Trump wouldn't have allowed the situation to have developed this far, he'd have responded early with a show of strength which is how you get bullies like Putin to back down. With Biden, Putin is counting on public opinion (especially after the disaster that was the afghanistan pull out) preventing Biden from escalating to boots on the ground.
Trump never would have allowed the US to get so dependent on Russian oil and resources as well and I think that is a large part of what has emboldened Putin.

Technically Putin was right about the Anti-Nazification thing. There is an arm of the Ukraine military that are Neo-Nazis.

This is old and pretty gruesome, but here the Azov guys are crucifying a separatist and burning him alive.

New satellite photography from the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. One wonders if the Russians would be forming such a big convoy if the Ukrainian Air Force is not a non-factor.

Oh, please, Trump admires Putin so much he'd let Ukraine get completely taken over.

On a different note, I wonder how Putin would react if this invasion were referred to as cowardly instead of aggressive. After all, Putin feels threatened by the idea of Ukraine joining NATO.
Trump would have thrown a tantrum over it and if you say otherwise lol

Imagine thinking Trump wouldn't have let it happen faster.
Trump probably would have forced NATO to agree to the no Ukrainian membership since he wasn't a fan of the whole thing and it would have ended up with Russia getting everything it wants at the barrel of a gun but no actual bullets coming from the guns as we have now.

it wasn't Krustchev and Crimea was exchanged for Kuban region
If you believe Russia was going to ever give up their only Black Sea deep water port then I want some of what you're smoking. It was never going to happen so arguing if it was Khrushchev or someone else is pointless.

The Ukrainian government was not only robbing its own people blind, it was actively assisting corrupt US politicians rob the US and its citizens blind. They get what they deserve.

I'm not so sure about about that.

1. Obama in office: Putin takes Crimea.
2. Trump in office: Putin doesn't do shit.
3. Biden in office: Putin takes all the rest of Ukraine (probably).

Plus, I mean... that's basically what Biden is doing right now.

Either Trump and Putin had a "deal" where Putin would cool his jets during the Trump administration, or this whole Trump-loves-Putin thing is total horseshit and Putin didn't want to fuck with Trump.

Shit, I don't like nuclear war either, but I'm relatively sure that even if a war got nuclear, it's going to go down to relatively "limited" exchanges between two states against key infrastructure and military centers until one of them gives up, as @ColtWalker1847 probably knows.
Uncharted territory, really. The basic idea of MAD though is that there are no "limited" exchanges. It's either all or nothing because there will be no way to tell the extent of a first strike at the time. The flight time of ballistic missiles is just too short and every bit of hesitation means less of your arsenal leaves the silos if it is "the big one".
